We had a wonderful stay at Papakea Resort! The location is perfect for families, with plenty of space for the kids to play and beautiful ocean views to enjoy. We loved being within walking distance to food, coffee, and a convenience store, which made everything easy with little ones. The grounds are well-maintained and the pools were great for our family. We would love to return in the near future!

Beautiful property and condo. A couple little “hiccups “, but property group fixed quickly and were wonderful to work with. Would recommend!

The unit was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Being on the main floor was great with kids.

The property was clean and well maintained, the staff was friendly and the amenities were great. There were a few touch ups that could be done to the unit, however it was still very clean, comfortable and updated. Would highly recommend the Papakea Resort and this unit!

Beautiful property, perfect location

This property is beautiful and held all the amenities needed for our group of seven. The condo itself was spacious, clean, and up to date. The location was perfectly placed near put out golf, the pool, and just a few steps away from the ocean, all while walking distance from several stores/restaurants, and food truck park. We very much enjoyed Java Jazz for breakfast during our stay, which was just a short walk away.

This is a great condo for a family of 5, love the resort, condo was clean with great extras, beach chairs, umbrella, even putters and balls for playing on putting green right in fromt of condo. Outdoor space was fantastic, and location was great, close to pool, really as good as anywhere we have stayed in Kaanapali.

My wife, myself and our children aged 23 and 15 enjoyed our stay and would recommend this 100%. The price was right, the location was central to everything on the west side. The condo was well appointed, very clean and had everything we needed. Beach chairs, cooler, blender(ha!), beach towels and more. The grounds were very well kept and the staff were very professional.

A Good Value!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were vacationing with our kids ages 13, 11, 9 and 7 and this condo perfectly met our needs. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the kitchen was fully stocked. The "extras" beach towels and chairs, spices, hand soap, putters for the putting green, etc made the stay that much more enjoyable. The only thing you might want to be aware of with this ground level unit is that there is an elevator outside the master bedroom and sometimes in the morning we were woken at 6 AM with people coming and going. Overall, it's a very quiet complex, but this might bother some people. We would not hesitate to stay here again should we return to Maui in the future!

The property and location of the condo was great for our trip. We had a couple minor issues but nothing that caused any problem with experience of staying at the unit or our trip. (Additional light bulbs need to be put in the ceiling fans in main room and small bedroom, upper towel rack in master bathroom needs to be affixed better would fall, shelf in corner cabient fell, lower shelf in refrigerator fell a few times, and dresser knobs in small bedroom needs to be affixed) Like I said small items but overall experience at the condo was very good

Great vacation rental overall

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The ocean front rental properties are at aconvenient location close to grocery stores and food trucks. The Papakea resort has very nice amenities too. We also appreciated that host even prepared small gift and beach towels, swim noodles. The management may need to tighten the leash on the cleaning service provider though, as we spotted somesmall ants around kitchen cabinets and also some small insects on the table (texted the property management but did it get immediate follow up). The couch also has some visible stains; the bedding sheet for the couch even has some sand .Also the wall mount AC does not seem to be working. Despite some small glitches, we had a great timeoverall.

Reviewer Comments: the place had alot wrong with it . pretty dirty . easy stuff like light bulbs needed to be put in, bath bars fell off. coffee pot was growing mold. tv remotes needed batteries.and so on. the property pictures are very misleading!!!!!! there is no beach (rocks) we drove to a beach every day.if your going there to hang by the pool you will love it. just dont go on spring break......the putting greens were great. the landscape was awesome.all "n"all. we hope this review helps you in your quest for a great place to stay.we would like to thank Megan for helping us out .

Location, location, location! If you want beautiful ocean views, daily sunsets, and all the amenities this is your spot. The kitchen was well stocked, they provided beach chairs, towels, cooler bag, and even had extra water shoes and pool noodles! We had 4 adults and 4 kids and all fit more than comfortably. My only complaint would be that the bedroom with two queens doesn’t have AC and can be a little noisy at night since it’s right by the outside hallway, but that wasn’t anything that couldn’t be remedied with the provided fans and some white noise- even in July! All around excellent spot- we liked it so much we even looked to see if any units were for sale.

Spring break 2025

Great location and the condo was comfortable for our family of 5. A little noisy in the morning being a bottom floor and next to the elevator. One issue we had was the condo has a roach problem. Assume this is the whole “K” building. All other issues were quickly attended to by the management company. The check in process was easy. The resort amenities were perfect for us and the grounds are well maintained.

Very nice location

Overall we had a very nice stay. The Papakea Resort is a fantastic location, we loved having the two pools which meant neither was every too busy. It was mostly quiet - the first week extremely so, the second week there were a lot of very loud guests (lots of kids screaming at the pool in the evening, people shouting across the green) which was less pleasant but I guess it's what you sometimes get on vacation. The condo itself was nice - a good space for a family staying a few weeks. Loved being able to walk right out to the pool or to look at the ocean (we could see whales all the time!). It was generally clean, but no matter what we did (kept ALL food in the fridge, cleaned several times a day) we couldn't keep the bugs away from the kitchen. Definitely an aspect of Hawaii living on the first floor, but it was unpleasant. Really appreciated that they provided a travel crib and high chair on request. The rooms were very comfortable and we had everything we needed overall.Communication was... plentiful. We got way too many blast emails and texts from Gather that had the same information over and over again. We also had a hard time getting quick or consistent responses from the property manager. We had a maintenance issue that didn't get resolved for a week and we are still waiting on a refund for a billing issue - no response at all yet. It worked for us overall, and we loved the location, but I think we'd reconsider another place next time.

We were very pleased with our accommodations. It was very clean and well supplied with necessary items. We enjoyed the beach, especially nearby Kaanapali. My grandsons loved jumping off Black Rock. Food trucks and great restaurants were nearby as well as the always needed ABC store. Would highly recommend this place and would love return!

Relaxing Poolside Perfect Stay

The property was perfect for the 7 of us for the week. The ground floor made it convenient to access the pool and the oceanfront fun. Perfect place to relax. A short drive to the best beaches, food and fun on Maui. A five star stay! 🌟 ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟

Also, back bedroom was very difficult to cool but fans did help move air. Property could stand an overall deep clean. Noisy in bedrooms due to location near elevators. Beds were very comfortable! We had a few maintenance issues and they were addressed very promptly. A little additional updating would go a long ways in making this property feel worth the cost.

Beautiful location

The resort is gorgeous! We've stayed here before and never been disappointed. This unit was exactly as listed and had so many extras for families to utilize and enjoy! We appreciated the beach chairs, towels amd cooler for the beach trips! Will definitely be back asap again!
