Parking was not convenient to the home. Noise from the streets as well the neighbors stomping upstairs (pretty sure it was the kids) until 1am. This is nothing more than a 1st floor apartment not a homeand while parts of the space have been remodeled the bedrooms and beds were very uncomfortable as well creaky everytime.l you turned over or sat on them. My wife and I sleep on a queen regularly and we are pretty sure this was not a queen size bed. Cob webs on the ceiling in the dining room as well a lot of silverfish running around. There was no welcome.package of intructions or local help, there is a Kuerig but no KCups... Hair dryer was not found... the bed was collapsed as the slats had fallen off 2 of the beds and the mattresses were sunk in and needed fixed before using.

What a nice place to visit Lake aerie and Cleveland. Plenty of space. Nice updated bathroom. Loved the game room. The owner is a lovely person, took good care of us. Would stay here again.

A great stay

We used the VRBO as home base for our stay. Close to the lake, Cedar Point, Put-in Bay, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Our stay was comfortable. Would rent again.

We stayed for a weekend. Everything was good, walking distance to the lake was great. I wish there would had been an booklet or something with checkout instructions and the WIFI password in it.

BE WARNED!! I would strongly caution anyone considering staying at this property. What appeared to be a private, peaceful stay from the posting, it was actually a duplex with a family living above us. Their children were running and stomping until 3 AM which made sleeping impossible.Upon arrival, the home immediately smelled strongly of marijuana. The cleanliness was unacceptable — there were piles of dead bugs throughout the property, along with house centipedes crawling on the walls. The shower door would not close properly, the outdoor area was severely overgrown with weeds, and there were dirty disgusting towels left on the furniture. There was also a mop bucket filled with filthy water and cigarette butts left outside.The worst part was the condition of the bed. When I went to get into bed on one of the queen beds in the back room, the bed frame broke, causing the mattress and my sleeping child to fall hard onto the floor. When we moved the bed, we found a dirty diaper underneath it, which was absolutely disgusting and showed a serious lack of cleaning. Communication with the host was another major issue. The host did not respond, and I had to contact VRBO customer service multiple times. When I finally brought these concerns to his attention, instead of addressing the issues, he blamed me and my family and refused to provide any refund. This stay was stressful, unhygienic, and nothing like what was what was advertised. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

The beds were really soft. There wasn’t any extra toilet paper, we had to go and buy some. The communication was lacking. The WiFi password was provided until I asked for it. Overall, for the price it was okay.

They canceled my reservation

I didn’t stay there because they canceled my reservation A day before my trip. I had to find my own place and most of family could not come because they had no place to stay. Very unhappy with this host.

I enjoyed my stay. I am getting my home renovated so I was looking for a place to stay for me and my three children over the holidays. I had a bit of trouble connecting to the WIFI , and communication with the owner was kind of difficult. Getting a reply back took a very long time , sometimes days. Nonetheless the stay was satisfactory. It started to feel like home after a day or two.

Near Lake Erie but…

Was expecting more from a place only several blocks from the lake. First of all, Lorain OH has really gone downhill…first night, numerous gunshots heard along with frequent police sirens. Never got the key code from the owner, had to call VRBO customer service (in Bangladesh, I think), what a hassle at checking.No internet on final day of our stay, so Roku tv didn’t work. Positives were the property was spacious and pretty clean.

Horrible communication

We came into town for a fishing charter. I asked a week prior if we could check in a little early since the charter left at the same time as check in. I was told we should be able to check in by 130pm. Day of the trip I double checked with the host, 2 hours prior to our arrival in town, who said they'd check with housekeeping. We did not hear back from the host until 430pm when normal check in was supposed to be at 3pm. The house had garbage on the floor when we checked in and thermostat was set to 85 when it was 98 outside. The house is pieced together like a fun house with random walls and doors. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Tried but Uncomfortable

Unfortunately this review is a mixed review. The listing for the most part was accurate, such as having the jacuzzi, exercise bike, game room, etc. The house appeared to be clean to the best of its ability. However, our family was extremely uncomfortable during our stay. The neighborhood seemed very rundown and not necessarily safe. There were people lingering on the streets and loud music throughout the entire night. The house is very old and although it is evident that the owners tried some renovations on a very old house, there are certain things that can't be overcome (sloping floors, beds that are so uncomfortable they cannot be slept in, poor lighting). Unfortunately this was not a pleasant stay for our family.
