En ouvrant les portes en bois massives, vous êtes immédiatement accueilli dans un décor de jungle paisible, confortable et tranquille, avec 3 espèces de singes différentes, des oiseaux chanteurs, des iguanes et tous les sons de la nature!

Située dans le quartier calme et résidentiel de Rancho Manuel Antonio, dans la Valle Pura Vida, la Villa Michelina propose un aménagement paysager luxuriant, un parking couvert, un système de sécurité, une connexion Wi-Fi et une prise magique.

Villa Michelina dispose de grandes chambres spacieuses, avec beaucoup de lumière de haute
les plafonds et les fenêtres. Air conditionné et de ventilateurs se trouvent dans chaque chambre. Au rez-de-chaussée, il y a une grande salle à manger pour 8 personnes avec balcon
donnant sur la piscine. Le salon a beaucoup de sièges avec écran plat
TV etc. La cuisine en granit entièrement équipée ouverte sur la luxuriante soulevée
jardin extérieur avec une surface couverte pour profiter d'un petit-déjeuner ou dîner tranquille
sous les magnifiques palmiers. Même dans la saison des pluies cette villa est
beau!

Toutes les chambres s'ouvrent sur la piscine à plusieurs niveaux qui offre de nombreuses zones pour profiter du soleil. La piscine a une pataugeoire peu profonde séparée au-dessus de la piscine principale, idéale pour les enfants, se détendre et lire un bon livre. Il y a un bar, un réfrigérateur et une douche extérieure.

Les chambres sont grandes et luxueusement décorées avec leur climatisation, des ventilateurs et des rideaux personnalisés. Maître a un lit king size, une salle de bain privée, un dressing, une télévision et un canapé lit simple pouvant être un lit jumeau pour enfant.

Villa Michelina was incredible. The pool and back deck alone were worth the price - we sat out there and watched birds all day. Swam and watched birds - so amazing. The house is stunning. Only suggestions are that it could use a few more coffee mugs - only 3 and we were 4 people. And some of the rooms had quite a few bugs bc doors didn't fully seal, but was very minor compared to the overall wonderful stay!

As for the bugs, being in the heart of the jungle definitely brings us closer to nature, which can sometimes make it tricky to keep them out entirely. A gorgeous setting!

We truly enjoyed this property and the nature around the yard was amazing. We had monkeys, toucans, lots of other birds and a huge iguana. The only negative was not having access to a washer and dryer, which we missed seeing in the description. Prop manager was excellent

Amazing Home & Location

The pictures do not do this amazing villa justice. This was such a luxurious home that made us feel like we were alone in the middle of the rain forest. We loved hanging by the pool, playing games in the large family room / dining area, and there was plenty of space for the kids to spend time on their own in their separate rooms. We did get to see monkeys swinging among trees and playing in the pool water, iguanas, many beautiful birds, etc. The location is SO close to all that Quepos and Manuel Antonio have to offer - what a memorable trip!

Everything was perfect for us and as advertised. The roads are very steep, but no trouble at all in rental car. The home is beautiful and cozy and has everything you need.

Perfect Family House

This house was perfect before a family of four. Easy to get to town, beaches, markets. Loved being able to choose whether we wanted to cook in or dine out. But highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous house tucked into the hills

Stayed in Quepos in June 2023. The house was hard to access (VERY hard by American standards), and 4X4 is necessary, but when we arrived… so gorgeous! It was like a Balinese mansion rising from the jungle. The pool was perfect for hot days, and toucans and birds were flitting about the backyard our entire stay. The staff were incredibly helpful as well. Can’t recommend enough!

This villa has seen better days

The location & property are very special. Unfortunately the age of the villa is showing. The villa is not 100% sealed resulting in lizard poop inside. Shower water is unpredictable & sometimes water just start flowing. The pool area is guarded by the house iguana which makes its business on by the pool every day. Yuck!

As mentioned in our description, Villa Michelina is nestled in the heart of the jungle, which means the surrounding wildlife is part of the unique experience. Geckos are quite common in the indoor areas, as they tend to seek shelter in the cooler spaces of the villa. It’s all part of being in such a natural setting! Regarding the pool area, the iguana is indeed a regular visitor, and while it can be surprising, it’s just part of the wildlife in this tropical environment. We understand that it might not be to everyone's taste, and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. Family Stay

We enjoyed the house. It was well appointed and in a central location between Quepos and MA. The driveway was no joke, but definitely do-able with a 4 wheel drive. Very comfortable home and pool/outside areas. We were. a little disappointed because the description on VRBO said that there was a trail down to the river and waterfall below the house. There was no trail and we were told to go to the bridge we crossed along the way to the house and try to follow the river, but to be careful, etc.... Would be better to not state in the description of the house that this was even a possibility. We are adventurers and chose the house because of this location/proximity to a trail & waterfall. We did enjoy our stay and the hosts were extremely hospitable and helpful. The concierge services offered are also phenomenal.

Unique and special home

My family of 6 (17yoB, 15yoG, 13yoG, 9yoG) had a wonderful stay. The location is really special up and down some steep roads (4x4 required!) but this is a beautiful home up in the rain forest. Morning coffee out on the patio was my favorite. Some days were limited activity in the forest (probably due to rain) but other days (less rain) were super active with birds and monkeys. Both were great! We had some great pool time and the kitchen was well set up as it was easier (and more affordable) to make it at home! Andrey was very helpful re: access and excursions including remembering my daughter is Celiac when booking an excursion with food!

Amazing, peaceful experience. Loved it. Exactly the remote jungle experience we wanted. Fell asleep at night listening to the sounds of the jungle. My wife and our fours kids will always have fond memories of this property. We stayed a week. A note about the road conditions: we had a Toyota Rush with two wheel drive automatic transmission. It was was fine getting to and from the house. I can see how a 4x4 would be better, but from our experience a 4x4 was not necessary. Great time.

Amazing property nestled in natural setting

Beautiful comfortable completely private property well equipped for relaxing, swimming, cooking and sleeping. Wildlife abounds too! The property manager, Mariana, took very good care of us. Very close to heart of Manuel Antonio that can be accessed by foot if in good shape and in 5-10 minutes by car. The driveway, and the road leading up to the house are not for the faint hearted. Be prepared to use your 4x4 to its fullest and to go through many potholes on the road in out of the neighborhood. Also, the house is supplied by well water-we were told to use bottled water. We loved the area, the house and the warmth of the Costa Rican people. Thank you.

Very neat, spacious home with privacy

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was warm and inviting and had plenty of room for our family of 5. A heads up tho, the second and third bedrooms can only be accessed from the outside so something to consider if you have young children. It’s great for people wanting lots of privacy however. We all enjoyed the pool a lot. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. There would be some critters that would get in at night but that’s to be expected when you’re in the middle of the rain forest. We weren’t fortunate enough to see monkeys but we did enjoy watching a trio of parrots fly over every day. Hazel made the check-in and out process really easy and she was available for anything we needed. Definitely recommend this property!

There is really no need to look anywhere further. This house was a dream come true. Only four of us and was way too big for our needs but for the price we couldn’t beat it. Our own private pool. All beds comfortable. Two king beds in two separate rooms. Felt like you were truly in the jungle. Monkeys on our porch while we swim. From the moment we walked in the house we were totally taken care of by the staff. If we had one issue come up it was literally resolved within 10 minutes. We arrived here late one night without food and our gal who met us there had food delivered to our house within 30 minutes. I mean seriously could not have dropped up a better place. We cannot wait to come back!!’

Villa Michelina is a must stay in Manuel Antonio!

Our family had an incredible stay at Villa Michelina. The property is bigger and more beautiful than the pictures show. It offered privacy within minutes of all the beaches, restaurants and attractions. We also enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen. The kids spent hours playing in the pool and looking for wildlife in the backyard. During our stay, we were visited by a family of capuchin monkeys, iguanas, toucans, hummingbirds and many other birds. On our last day, a huge group of squirrel monkeys were in the area and some came onto the back patio with us. Having wildlife so close to us was a highlight of our trip. Mariana, Jorge and the cleaning staff were also amazing and helped us arrange everything we needed, including grocery orders and restaurant recommendations. As others have said, there is a steep driveway but it was part of our adventure! If we return to Manuel Antonio, we will definitely stay at Villa Michelina! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful villa!

This is an absolutely wonderful villa, the photos do not do it justice! It was the perfect amount of space to make our holiday relaxing for our family of five. The separation between the primary bedroom and other two is great for families with older kids, while the locks on all the doors with pool access is a thoughtful gesture for those with younger kids. Ours are in the middle and they absolutely LOVED this house and having their own quarters. The high ceilings make it feel very grand and spacious. The housekeeping team take fantastic care of the property and its guests - the towels or laundry mentioned in previous reviews was a non-issue for us thanks to them. Check in and out was a breeze and concierge was available for any of our needs; overall a very hospitable team! The driveway is definitely a challenge but not an issue with the right car. We loved the location in that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip but still only a few minutes away from it when we wanted - same for the beaches. It was amazing being nestled in the forest and visited by the wildlife, including a monkey! Such a lovely stay and experience, would highly recommend!

Jungle Experience

Pros: - Wonderful customer service! The host and Raimund were so helpful and responded right away to questions/concerns. - Extremely spacious. - They provided cleaners (included in the cost) every other day which was really nice. They also did laundry for us if we left a tip. - The pool area was beautiful. - It is a true “jungle” experience! - Great AC! - Alarm system on home which made us feel extra safe (although it felt very safe anyways) Cons: - The location indicator on the listing is way off. One of the main reasons we booked this house is because we thought it was walking distance to bars and restaurants in Manuel Antonio however, it was not walking distance whatsoever for an average person. We would have never booked this place if we knew the true location. It was in the “middle of nowhere” about 8 minutes from the top of the hill in MA, but it is either straight down or straight up so walking would be so very difficult especially if you are not use to all the heat. - The way the house is built (maybe it’s the Indonesian style?) has a gap to the outdoors between the roof and walls (which they did try to patch with boards and it helped but did not solve 100%) which allowed more than average bugs and critters into the home(small lizards, frogs, and we even had a bat fly in our first night). - the interior is a bit dated, though it’s unique and of high quality furnishings and decor -- Some of kitchen stuff was very poor quality

The concierge service is one of the services most of our guests take advantage of to enjoy seamless vacation. The online concierge is available from the moment guests book the house to assist with transportation, tour info and check-in instructions. I have the feeling you did not pay attention to all this information as detailed house location is also provided in advance via email (including the google maps location and the on-site concierge phone number) to ensure a smooth arrival experience. Location is also disclosed on VRBO when booking the house and it is accurate. Our listing description does not advertise the house as "in a walking distance to..." Certainly the house is in the middle of the jungle, yet just a minute's DRIVE to popular restaurants and shops, in one of the most popular residential/vacation rental areas in all of Manuel Antonio. The house is surrounded by lots of nature, providing guests a unique feeling of privacy and true jungle contact including interactions with all kinds of wildlife, from monkeys to toucans, lizards, frogs and many harmless insects. Our listing even mentions that a 4x4 is recommended because of steep access, which for many past guests, is a great opportunity to hike and explore nature. Very Unique House

As the other reviews all stated, you definitely need a 4x4 to navigate the roads getting to the house. Some of the roads are not paved and have been washed out that have very deep pot holes- take full insurance out on your rental car!!! The house itself is very unique, sitting below the driveway landing on the hill with beautiful views of the rain forest. We loved floating in the pool enjoying the natural setting. There are many unusual art pieces, custom furniture, and special additions to the house, but the house is a bit dated, although nothing that would prevent staying here. The kitchen appearance is nice, but the kitchen cooking equipment is well below standards for this type of property (old pans, pots, and limited extras one comes to expect in a VRBO). We did not see monkeys during our week, but we did see toucans, parrots and many butterflies. Inside the house we experienced a scorpion in the bedroom, an iguana, a huge spider and a bat that left droppings over the furniture and counters all week (I guess this is the norm for Costa Rica). The Conceirge, Andres, was awesome and very helpful- at all hours and even coming through for us with last minute plans. We stayed the end of July/beginning of August and it rained every day. Only 2 of the days were a washout where tour plans had to be cancelled, otherwise, the rain was not a deterrent for us. One request for the owner/property management company- why not let the renters use the washer/dryer that is on premise? There is nowhere to hang wet towels, bathing suits, clothes (outside not an option because of the frequent rain)…we found ourselves lacking dry towels all week and clothes that took days to dry out. At the minimum, we would have appreciated being able to throw our wet gear into a dryer. I gave the review 4 stars because of the kitchen & washer/dryer limitations, but otherwise, this is a wonderful house giving my family, a very unique experience. Much appreciated and hope you will have us back one day!
