At the gateway of the Red River Gorge Geological Area with miles of trails and cliffs to climb, Dappled Grey is just a couple miles from the center of Stanton. Situated on a small 20 acre horse farm (adopted American Mustangs), this cabin reflects our love of horses! The huge windows, long porches and deck, creates a stunning setting to enjoy your vacation. Grill and dine out on the back deck which overlooks the wooded hillside. Relax and enjoy the spacious, private hot tub. Dappled Grey is newly built with an old world charm! With terracotta tile floors, knotty pine walls, 9ft tall ceilings, and long, shady porches with potted plants, this spacious cabin is one of a kind. Huge windows and sliding glass doors are set throughout the entire house, making it airy and bright. The lighting is absolutely magical, with the vista of the woods in all its seasonal colors filling the cabin with a sense of peace and serenity. We also have one other cabin, Larkspur, 200 feet from Dappled Grey. You have the whole cabin to yourself and the immediate parking area just outside the cabin. We are in the process of landscaping a lovely garden and yard next to Dappled Grey for you to enjoy. Feel free to watch the riding lessons (or book one!). If you'd like a short hike, follow the gravel road on our 20 acres, which goes by other cabins and follows the ridge-line. This turns into a path in the woods and joins the gravel road (this is a full loop around the property open to all our guests). Greg and I live in the red house on the property, right next door to Dappled Grey. We are always available if you text us with any question, and are happy to run over and help if there is a need. We are out and about during the day, working on our farm, training horses, giving riding lessons and planting flowers among other things. Always happy for a chat if you are so inclined, but also happy to give you total privacy as well.
