I never thought in a million years I'd be getting married during a pandemic. The cabin location & size was just right for our little safe getaway "In state". The rental process was quick & easy. For it to be my husband's & I first mountain experience, we were very pleased & plan to return!
This property was not worth the money to stay in. I have stayed every year in Gatlinburg for way less and a lot nicer. I showed up with old food in the oven, microwave peeling on to the stove, the stove burners did not work, patio chairs looked to never been updated, mildew all over the shower curtain, the glasses that were left on the bed were broken, carpet stains as I could keep going. When I called management about the burners not working they said they would get it taken care of as we did not want to go out this stay. Maintenance ended up bringing me a ridiculous tiny toaster oven and stated he was sorry and was embarrassed to even bring it over. Also stated that there was two owners and the one that owned this property was to cheap to upgrade. We left a night early as I was over the place and how I was treated. Oh we did get free zipline for my inconvenience.
First and foremost, the wife and I had a mindset of finding a budget friendly cabin so we were able to do basically anything we wanted in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. So with the free tickets you get and the solid price point of the cabin, we felt we picked âthe oneâ.
Location: For a remote cabin, in the woods...on a mountain, itâs not bad! Youâre 5-7 minutes from McDonalds/Food City/Family Dollar and more. Very convenient.
View: This will be one of 2 things that was negative for us. You do NOT get a view with this cabin. No mountains...etc. But, again, with the budget we put in place, it was expected. Your view is another cabin, trees and a hill.
Cabin itself: So the best way to describe the cabin is, itâs basically a hotel room. Quite literally. PRICE POINT! Wife and I stay at hotel rooms regularly and this is the exact same, but with a hot tub. Kitchen is fully equipped. Utensils, pans, plates...etc. We bought paper plates. Bring toilet paper! They supply 2 rolls, and we were there 6 nights. Bed is super comfortable. Thereâs no dresser so the couch became our dresser. Okay so the TV...in the absolute dumbest spot it could be in. See pictures. Itâs not on a swivel mount. Itâs a wall mount. Tv does NOT move. Just dumb. You have zero service in or around the cabin. Which i mean is to be expected but very frustrating for us. Thankfully there were brochures on what to do around the cities. The hot tub was great. Although Day 1, the breaker flipped and it stopped working. Later that night I randomly tried it again and it worked. No other problems with it during the stay. We had to have maintenance come look at the stove, turns out it was us not turning it on right. But upon us returning to the cabin, he left some creepy finger prints on the attic door above the bed, it turn was already creepy to begin with. Not sure why he would touch the attic door to begin with while being called for a stove. The morning/night before you leave, make sure you have the dishes washed and dried/all trash taken to the dumpster(it was close for us)/all towels folded on the vanity/everything removed from the fridge and such. We did all ours the night before.
So, overall I donât really feel the price was worth for us personally. Itâs kinda one of those things, we did it, cool, now never again.
I know it was a honeymoon cabin but I asked her to marry me and gave her the ring. she said yes. cabin was what she always wanted. the heart shape red tub was a dream come true for her. we set a date of 4/17/21 and might be returning here for the honeymoon .
My husband and I stayed in "The Garden of Eden" cabin for a weekend getaway and it was perfect. It was tucked behind some other cabins so we had plenty of privacy. It was clean, and decorated nicely. The hot tub outside was clean and easy to use. The cabin wasn't far from town so getting out was easy. The communication with customer service was excellent, they were friendly and checked in on us via text to make sure everything was okay. We would definitely stay at this cabin again.
