We enjoyed our stay at our rental. The place was very clean, rooms were spacious, nice having the 2 bedrooms n 2 bathrooms. The dining area was also very spacious as well. We enjoyed the outside porch in the early afternoons. Our host was very communicative and responded quickly to our questions. I would of liked the beds to be not as firm, otherwise, a nice rental. It could use some updating of furnishings. Loved seeing the deer!
My husband and I stayed at this property for the purpose of it being close to East Stroudsburg for a wedding we were attending. The house was clean and had all that we needed for our short stay. It could use some updating, especially the bathrooms. We basically just used it for sleeping and showering. It was nice that it was off the beaten path, but the driveway is a bit tricky. As mentioned by previous reviewer, we also loved the wildlife we saw in the morning.
We stayed here for a closer location to the water gap. Clean place with lots of charm. Loved how it was off the beaten path enough to start our mountain adventure.
The house was very clean, very spacious, truly felt like it was a home away from home! Easy communication, plenty of places to shop within very close distance and beautiful view of the mountain range, just all around an amazing stay!
The 4 legged welcoming committee was nice (a few very friendly deer). The driveway/access road is very tricky. There was no heat the first night and I had to search for a blanket, the host did resolve this for the second day. The overall condition of the property was tired, not very well taken care of.
We had an ok experience at this house. It was clean and it was spacious. However, i feel some of the previous reviews were a bit over the top in their descriptions. There is no mountain view. It is not a *beautiful* property. It is a fine house in an urban area and nothing more. There were a few things that bothered us during our stay here. Firstly, we were travelling from out of state, and i asked our host for the door code the morning of our check in day. We were told we would get it a half hour before check in time at 4pm. Which seemed odd, but ok. 4pm came and went and we never received the code so we had to call VRBO. They were able to get in touch with the host who was very apologetic and it seemed like an honest mistake. But it was an easily avoidable hassle.Next, the landscaping crew showed up at 8:45 am saturday morning and promptly started leaf blowing and weedwhacking and lawn mowing literally directly outside out bedroom windows. Our 10 month old and i had to leave the porch and close the windows. In a house that is clearly a rental on the weekends, you would think there would be a less disruptive scheduling option. Other things that bothered us: There was no hand soap in the bathrooms. Most of the silverware in the kitchen drawer is disposable plastic. There were dead ants in the sugar cubes. The beds were *very* firm. The over the stove microwave is broken and still has the broken glass tray inside. Windows had no screens.Overall fine. Just not great.
Included in your stay, you have access to the indoor fireplace. Game room equipped with multiple games, ping-pong table just outside of the door. A large patio and lawn to relax.
