Paradise at Great Sand Bay -2-bedroom log house with AC, WiFi in Eagle Harbor

Nestled in the dunes just outside of Eagle Harbor, this log home offers a welcoming escape for guests. You can watch the most incredible sunsets on the best beach in the Keweenaw Peninsula at this tranquil getaway. The views and amazing beach will create a romantic adventure vacation for couples or endless memories if traveling with the family.

Our beautiful home has lots of privacy combined with great views of Lake Superior and direct beach access across the road with all the comforts and feel of a private resort set in a spectacular wilderness setting. The interior is luxurious yet appropriately rustic to compliment the natural setting along the coast of the Great Sand Bay. The great room has vaulted ceilings, a custom built stone gas fireplace for the cool days and great lighting from all the majestic windows.

The dining room is a focal point of home, open to the kitchen with quality appliances including a Viking gas range and stunning kitchen cabinetry. The floors are gorgeous hardwood throughout. The loft area is the master bedroom with the best views of Lake Superior from its own private balcony.

The landscaping and setting emphasize the natural setting in what looks like a Western Mountain area. No better place to relax, enjoy and create your own memories.

We have 4 exterior cameras at our home - one on each of the three doors and one focused down the driveway.

If adventure is in your bones, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, rock-hounding, UTV/Snowmobiling, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, snow biking, fishing, waterfall hikes and more are all at your finger tips with "Paradise at Great Sand Bay" as your comfy home base.

New bathrooms, beds and the addition of a king bed to the master and a queen in lieu of the 2 twins in the second bedroom, adding 2 twin sleeper chairs in the great room are and a sauna/shower coming by Christmas 2024. This property was recently purchased by us in the fall of 2024 which is why you do not see lots of reviews yet but if you look at our profile you will see 2 other properties we have built and manage as STR's in the eastern upper peninsula. Review these properties to get a sense for the pride and care we take in our homes and with each of our guests. We would love to host you in Eagle Harbor soon!

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed. The house was absolutely beautiful, very well maintained and very clean. It was a short walk across the road to the beach. The hosts were also great - very easy to communicate with and we had all of our check-in info well in advance.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Tim and Sue's home. The location on Great Sand Bay is beautiful, and is ideally located for exploring the many sights of the Keweenaw Peninsula. The home is very comfortable and well-appointed with everything we needed. We highly recommend this home for anyone visiting the area!

Perfect setting for the UP

Had a great time in the Keweenaw peninsula using this great property as our home base. Secluded yet everything is a short drive away. The property itself is immaculate and well stocked. Sauna a huge plus.

Holiday stay

Our family came up for a long Easter weekend. The house is situated in a beautiful setting on Great Sand Bay. It has everything one would expect in a rental house, and a few extras like the electric vehicle charging station in the garage and the sauna in the lower level. This is our second stay in the house, and we will return again!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL property, right across the street from a scenic lookout and small public beach (niche and not overly popular, just really well maintained). My (now) fiance and I rented this place for a romantic engagement weekend and it was perfect. Small balcony accessible from the loft bedroom with views up into the stars, and less than a half hour drive from a bunch of popular hikes with gorgeous views. Also having a garage usable/accessible attached to the house is super nice. We didn't end up using the Spa, but it looks really nice, and we did use the fireplace and I made for a really romantic night watching some TV with wine. Only heads up I would give renters is to screenshot your pin code information WHEN YOU HAVE SIGNAL! The VRBO has secure wifi, but it is (smartly) password protected, and there's no signal for T-Mobile or AT&T within 15 minutes, and no publicly available WiFi in the nearby Eagle Harbor, and the android VRBO app does not locally cache messages, so you won't be able to access any messages you've received with the lock pin code or directions once you lose signal (learn from my mistakes :)

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin and would love to come stay again! The cabin was very clean and cozy. The location was great and we enjoyed walking along Great Sand Bay.
