The main floor is our full-time home—no kitchen access downstairs (Joy’s baking sourdough treats in her tiny kitchen!), though we might share a meal when time allows. It’s sustainably sourced with local love from Red Collection and Reconsidered Goods, kept spotless by Simply Organized and Clean, and pest-free with Go Forth Pest Control—synthetic fragrance-free and non-corporate, with insider hosts at your service!

We’re an independent guest home rental with a purpose—creating a welcoming space while also supporting Guilford County high school students with learning differences. Through hands-on experiences in this home, students gain valuable skills that help them grow.
This private upstairs bedroom is connected to another private room, Grandma Dottie's, by a Jack-and-Jill en suite bathroom (see floorplan photo). While we live downstairs, you’ll have a private, comfortable bedroom to unwind. Your room includes a dorm-sized refrigerator, microwave, iron, and cleaning tools for convenience. Kitchen access is not available. If you are looking for a whole house furnished rental please see our whole home rentals at Joy Watson Real Estate Rentals.
For guests staying 30 days or more, we offer one laundry load per week with unscented detergent—yours or ours and 24 hour notice so we can get out laundry moved through.

Eric sells reputation software for Reputation.com and we have been rehabbing old homes together in our neighborhood since 2019. We have built our team of local non-corporate vendors to help service our homes and hope you find our homes accommodating to your needs.
Our rentals are conveniently located within walking distance of downtown, Cone Hospital, Westley Long Hospital, UNCG, Greensboro College, and Elon Law School. We offer fully furnished short-term rentals with all utilities included.
We're deeply committed to community support, particularly for students with learning differences in Guilford County Schools. Students benefit from working in the experiential setting provided at our homes. Our initiatives, like the Watsucker Urban Farm, offer job and life-skills training. It’s under a mile from downtown (5-minute drive), near Latham Park trails and the Greensboro Arboretum (10-minute drive). Downtown has the Civil Rights Museum and Science Center (aquarium, zoo). Each of our homes is services by Go Forth Pest Control and has well thought out details that we hope will make you feel like you are staying with a good friend or cherished relative. Watsucker Urban Farm brings community, training students with learning differences in life skills. Joy’s former special ed teacher roots add care, and as a licensed NC real estate agent, she’s ready to help you buy or sell a home. Eric and Joy reside on site of this home on the main floor.
