Great place to stay, clean, quiet. Saw deer almost every night in the yard. Close enough to walk to downtown if you want. Shirt drive to the beach and break wall. Definitely would stay again. Host was fantastic, great communication and very helpful.
The cottage was spacious, clean, and had lots of extra amenities in the kitchen and bathroom, like cookware, a coffee maker, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, a hairdryer, etc. The A/C worked perfectly and the air felt light and fresh. It's secluded and private from in town, but close enough where it doesn't feel cumbersome to have to drive back to make a pit stop or beach break.I've been coming to Caseville with my family for 20 years, and of the few cabins I've rented for myself, this is probably my favorite!
This property is a blue and pink cottage unit next to another unit with no connecting doors between them. The location is close to downtown but next to open fields and surrounded with trees. The neighborhood is very quiet. Deer wander through the yard daily. It is conveniently located close to the grocery store and several restaurants in the nearby town center. I felt comfortable here with my dog and the cottage was more than adequate when my grandchildren visited me. Enjoy the quaint town of Caseville with its shops, marina, a centrally located beach with play structures, and the nearby Sleeper State Park beach. A special treat was an unexpected meeting with Lane Walker, a local childrens' book series author and shop keeper. Travel about 20 miles and you can explore the historically registered Sanilac County petroglyphs.
I have traveled a great deal and enjoyed many vacation rentals as a guest. I had been a landlord for years and when I fell in love with Caseville i choose to try a new type of rental. I grew up near Lake Michigan and spent many of my adult years at a cottage on Lake Huron
When I found this property, I was amazed at how close it was to my favorite restaurants, yet so quiet and peaceful. The front overlooks a large farm field, and the back has a pear tree and a large yard for playing or enjoying the firepit.
This is a quiet peaceful area, unless you're having a competitive game of corn hole and smores over a fire pit, it may be full of laughter. There is no noise from traffic to disturb your fun or the deer grazing in the yard. Kids can run and play without any fear of traffic. When in season you can help yourself to a few pears from the tree in the yard. we have a few indoor games just incase of a rain day.
