We loved the house. Very nice inside. Everything works. It’s comfortable inside and out. Very convenient to the excellent beach. In mid-September there’s no contention for the beach. It was empty for 150 yards in both directions. Well definitely rent here again.

Best Rental at Orange Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented this house twice a year for the last five years. This particular year we had other family members staying in separate locations that allowed us all to congregate at the beach each day. In addition to this house, being such a good property, the beach in front of it is second to none. If you want a wonderful place to make memories, rent the Ashby house.

1. Toilet leaking. Turned water off when not in use2. Dishwasher door spring is broke. My wife opened the door and it hit her in the leg which could’ve been bad way to start the vacation. Fortunately no injuries.3. Vegetation in the Driveway needs to be cut back. That was brought up in an earlier review and has not occurred. Not a fun thing when its scraping your vehicle and you’re not sure if it’s going to damage it or not.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a very nice quiet place to stay. Easy access to the beach and relaxing on the porch. I would definitely do something different on the path to the beach but it was still nice. The shades in the house could use updates because sleeping in is hard with the sunlight coming in at sunrise around 545a.. lol. We would definitely go back.

26th Stay at Ashby House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 26th visit to this property, which is normally in great condition. Upon entering the house, the air conditioning was not working. Over the course of two days, three different maintenance techs worked on the system, with the third one finally recognizing the problem. He did a workaround that bypassed the failing controls and the system worked perfectly for the rest of the week. Hats off to Michael, the Property Manager, for his quick and continuing response. The vegetation along the driveway into the house really needs to be trimmed back. Also, a tree limb across the stair landing is very low. I scrapped by forehead on it. Please cut the limb back or tie it up higher. Overall, our stay was perfect after the repairs to the AC.

And it right on the beach! Amazing days and sunsets. We’ll be back again!

Ashby House Adventure

Ashby House was as described, nice property with a good location. It is located close to great dining and shopping. A short walk to the beach gets you a prime location with a mostly private beach. You are just down from the condos and just a few houses between you and the state park. Michael was our contactwiththe rental, he was outstanding with any and all questions we had. Will stay again if available

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always love staying at this house! It embodies the beach nostalgia that I grew up in. However, we could hardly see the drive entrance due to the vegetation overgrowth and the house entrance was overgrown. The house could do with vegetation maintenance as my husband hit his head on a tree branch leading up the porch into the house. I understand keeping a natural habit however when it blocks the house entrance or encroaches on parking, it should be addressed. Overall the house is excellent and the location is perfect!!

Amazing with a couple suggestions

The Property is wonderful. The weather is gorgeous. Groceries are inexpensive. Suggestions based on other experiences: More than 1 roll of toilet paper in each bath. A couple cheap beach towels and chairs would be huge.For people that fly in late at night, it would be great to have a porch light on to see to get in.

Outstanding Location!

I loved everything about my stay except it didn’t have any household essentials. Most places have a small amount of “basics” like salt/ pepper/ cooking oil/ beach towels. In fairness, it was clearly listed on the property details so I was able to plan accordingly, however that meant that I needed to add all of that to my travel bag.
