Velvet Forest log cabin is situated high on a hill in the middle of five wooded acres offering a secluded vacation get away. There is plenty of flat ground for hiking and discovering the beauty of
Brown County. Watch deer and other wildlife while enjoying a meal at the picnic table/grill area or the separate firepit with ample seating.

The interior walls of this cabin are crafted from the same sturdy logs as the exterior. The rich, warm tones of the timber create a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the rough-hewn edges and knots tell the story of the forest from which they came. The wood vaulted ceiling in the living areas complete this feeling.

Only three steps separate you from the deck and main floor of this cabin. The entrance leads you into the open floor plan of the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The spacious kitchen offers
plenty of counter space with bar seating and everything you would possibly need to prepare an old fashioned country meal. The large wood dining table can easily accommodate your group’s meals or card games. The living room contains a large 50“ smart TV and comfortable seating. The French doors in the living room lead you to the full length, covered back deck where you can relax, listen to the birds sing, and watch the gold finches at the bird feeder.

In the master bedroom you will find a king bed with an armoire containing a 40“ smart TV for your individual programming. The large master bathroom has a two sink vanity, a jetted oversized tub, and a walk-in shower.

The second spacious bedroom has a king bed, delightful bedside antler lamps, dresser and a big walk-in closet. The third bedroom has an extra long twin trundle bed, dresser, and closet. The shared second bathroom has a tub/shower combo.

Velvet Forest is conveniently located to Brown County State Park, Horsemen’s Camp, the town of Story, and just 10 miles from Nashville.
