- Gatherings: A 3-night minimum stay is required for any gatherings or events.
- Late Check-Out: After a 15-minute grace period, a fee of 10% of the daily rate per hour applies. Stays of 10+ hours past check-out will incur a full day's charge.
- Early Check in and other requests: please contact us in advance, and we'll do our best to accommodate based on availability.
- A 3% credit card fee will be applied to any cancellations and refunds through Stripe.

While you are under no obligation, we would greatly appreciate your help with the following tasks:

1. Garbage: Bag the garbage and place it into labeled large bins.
2. Dishes: Sort the dishes and run the dishwasher.
3. BBQ: Clean the BBQ after usage.

Family Gathering

We were two families who stayed at the serene modern lakehouse when we traveled to NS to attend a family funeral. We had great communication with the host. The house is very large and served us well for our large group; lots of different spaces to spread out. It has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, with one bedroom being on the main floor with direct access to a full bathroom. A large master suite upstairs has full ensuite and walk in closet. Plus three other bedrooms upstairs. The beds were very comfortable. Having two kitchens (2 fridges) was great. We used all the amenities including foosball, pool table, screened in room, deck, outdoor fire pit, paddle board, indoor gas fireplace and on-site laundry. The main kitchen is huge and well stocked with pots, dishes, cutlery, glassware, etc. While we didn't golf, it's on a beautiful golf course. The house has an amazing view of the lake, a large yard and its own dock. A few minutes walk is the Deerfield pub with amazing food, sports bar and live music on Friday night. We would definitely recommend the serene modern lakehouse. We really enjoyed our time there.

Mostly as Expected

This is a large property on a golf course just outside Halifax. The listing is entirely accurate. Everything they said is in the home is totally there. It's a very expensive property - can likely accommodate 15-ish people. There were four of us and two small dogs.The only thing we'd wish was improved is the cleanliness of the property. We stayed for nine days, so it was worth our while to clean it properly on the first day. But don't look under the furniture.People we assumed were the owners showed up when we arrived - the first time this has ever happend to us in a rental home. I assume they wanted to make sure we were who we said we were. (A bit strange when you're paying 15K for a rental.) Later we found out from the golf course that there have been complaints about too many people in the property having loud parties. So we assume that's why we met people we assume were the hosts.The only thing that left a bad taste in our mouths was that we had blocked our dogs from going downstairs or upstairs throughout the entire stay. On the day we left we removed the fences and, unfortunately, while we were loading the car one of our dogs pooped downstairs. That's totally on us and unacceptable. But, if you had seen the state of the carpets, I very much doubt this was the first time this happened. However, we approved an extra payment to clean up the poop. It was 200. We are now in PEI where the home will charge us 25 if the same thing happens.

Peaceful location

I will say that the property setting was amazing, with picturesque views, especially with large windows, you could see the beauty of winter.The check in process was seamless and communication with host was amazing and timely. We were just a bit disappointed that the fireplace was not functional and there were no ping pong table available which were 2 things we were looking forward to. Other than that, we had an amazing time with the family.

Beautiful space

This was a beautiful home that we stayed in for my partner's birthday. Well stocked kitchen and lots of room for guests. There was an ensuite unit attached for people who need more space and a downstairs with a pool table. The dock and water was much closer then we expected. So much space and beautiful open concept. Hosts were always available to respond. No issues just bring your own fire wood unless you want to forage for it. Would stay again.
