Entièrement restauré 1886 Beach Cottage à proximité des commerces du centre-ville

Pelican Place, une fois présenté sur CETTE ANCIENNE MAISON, a tout le confort d'aujourd'hui avec le charme d'antan. Une fois un bureau de chemin de fer, le chalet a été déplacé vers le présent site; l'intérieur a été vidé, déconstruit avec des structures de récupération et rénové, puis reconstruit avec la plomberie moderne et le câblage, la climatisation centrale et de la chaleur, et d'autres équipements modernes mais toujours en conservant son caractère d'époque. Le chalet est entièrement équipé pour des vacances sans soucis: une immense cuisine bien équipée, un salon confortable avec un téléviseur de 50 pouces et un centre de divertissement, des jeux, des films et Netflix. Dormez bien dans les lits confortables. Pour vos besoins de plage, il y a une douche extérieure, des chaises de plage et des jouets, et même un parking dans la rue assez grand pour un bateau.

It was a bonus that it had a driveway to park our car so it wasn’t on the street. Chesapeake properties, very professional and easy to communicate with! We even locked herself out of the property one day and they responded very quickly to help us get back in, the welcome bag they supplied was Very helpful! It had paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, trash bags, dish soap to get you started for your week. The bathrooms all were supplied with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! My favorite feature in the kitchen was the icemaker machine on the counter! You could add bottled water and make your own ice!! We will definitely return again!

It's the perfect balance of charm and function makes this a place we return to year after year. The kitchen is always fully equipped. I am not sure how the owner's do it, but this house looks perfectly clean year after year. If you enjoy shopping and eating on Mason, I highly recommend this house because it is a short walk to everything. We vacation with two families with four kids total - perfect fit!

We spent some of every day on the beach and also enjoyed walking around Cape Charles and spent time at Kiptopkeke park and Wallops Island. We did have an issue with the door handles in the upstairs bedroom having loose set screws and the potential of not being opened from the inside of the room. This was insignificant for our trip but might be something to fix for future stays.

Grille had no cord that fit the larger one of the 2 cord there did not fit . Out side of those minor thing the house was perfect for our group clen and the bed were comfy !!

The Keurig machine is great, but the TWO bakeries within walking distance are the real winners. If you want to be close to the main drag, then Pelican Place is your house. We have stayed several times. The house is always clean. Parking on the property is a rare amenity in CC. We usually load up the car to drive to the beach, so the driveway is our savior! The outside shower helps get all the kids clean prior to house entry :)

Great house, Great location

This house was great for our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 children). There is room inside and outside to sit around a table and/or hangout. The kitchen is well stocked with items needed to make meals for a group. It is an easy walk to eateries including Coastal Baking and Deadrise Pies basically next door. We did drive one car to the beach each day for the small children and supplies but never had an issue parking. Older kids and/or adults could make the walk easily. The kids enjoyed the bunk bed room. One note for groups traveling together: there is a full bathroom upstairs and one downstairs off the kitchen. The upstairs shower is in clawfoot tub. We had to do some juggling to all manage showers but it was doable. I sent a message prior to arrival to the property management with a question about what beach items were in the house. I got a partial answer and then didn't hear back again. I called the morning after we arrived to ask a question about water jugs in the house, had to leave a voicemail, and never got called back. When we arrived, there were some dirty bath mats still piled in the hallway, a couple of pretzels under the coffee table, and a pretty full trash bin already outside. Trash day is Tuesday, and we checked in on Wednesday. We suspect the trash didn't get out on Tuesday. When we checked out on Sunday, our bags didn't fit in the bin. However, the rest of the house, including kitchen, was clean. There were plenty of linens provided for use during our stay.

Great stay for beach vacay!

Stayed at Pelican Place for our first visit to Cape Charles. The recent renovation did a nice job of bringing modern conveniences and amenities to the oldest extant home in town while preserving the original character. Perfect for out family of four. Location is conveniently located on edge of downtown just a short walk or golf cart ride from restaurants, shops, and the beach. 1/2 block from CC Ryder cart rentals so pick up and return was a breeze. We will definitely stay again!

Fantastic Home Away From Home!

The house is beautifully decorated, with wainscoting, soothing colors, is roomy and cozy. We were amazed at the large, bright fully stocked kitchen. If we didn't have an item, we found it. Prepare a crockpot meal in the morning and spend the day at the un-crowded, expansive beach. Enjoy a cocktail or a morning cup of coffee on the upstairs porch or in the landscaped backyard garden which is lovely and peaceful. Explore the town, a short walk down the block. Enjoy ice cream at Brown Dog and good food at Kelly's Pub. We had the best grits ever at the Coffee House. Take an evening stroll to the pier. Don't forget fresh daily caught seafood at Cap'n Pete's. We found the property to be well maintained and the house clean, the management was readily available. We look forward to returning next summer!
