à propos de cet hébergement
Hull Mt. Cabins Off the Grid Wilderness Retreat (Entire place)
Hull Mt. Cabins Off the Grid Wilderness Retreat
Multi-Cabin Rental in Wilderness setting for up to 12 people.
Mendocino National Forest, Lake Pillsbury Ranch Community
Cozy Cabins with all the creature comforts of home with access to the wilderness. Seasonal Access-Lake, river, creeks to navigate. Nature hikes, kayak, boating, birdwatching, hang gliding, foraging, stargazing, hunting, off-roading and boating. Take the opportunity to go off grid, put the cell phone away and be one with nature.
The space
The group of cabins lies on about 40 acres partially along a hillside of wooded conifers, madrone and oaks. Also access to a wide open polo field with room for pup to play or some stargazing. Bbq and horseshoes. Stunning view of Hull Mountain. The property has nice space around each cabin with deck& fire pits amongst the trees. Very peaceful space mostly shaded surroundings during hot summer days. Full sun access on property below on Polo Field. Pet Donkeys on site to visit without dog in tow.
All cabins are within eye and earshot of each other but not too close for comfort. The co-op kitchen is in the centralized area between all cabins.
*Innkeeper on end of property most of the time with her 2 dogs. #Donkeys below to be very vigilant of if you have dogs to walk. Keep on leash and do not let run off towards donkeys.
Guest access
The journey to cabins ends with an hour long dirt road. Please note: WINTER ROAD COND>Due to recent snow fall we lost access to the Elk Mt. Road- toward Upper Lake. Access thru Potter Valley is open. We Suggest all incoming guests come in thru Potter Valley off of Hwy 20 not Upper Lake area. Our area remains in great condition along with the lake shore and Elk Habitats *****YOU MUST HAVE VERY RELIABLE CAR WITH TIRES IN GOOD CONDITION and some CLEARANCE FROM Dec-APRIL. AWD or 4WD HIGHLY recommended but not mandatory. We are located in the Lake Pillsbury Ranch Community. It's made up of a couple hundred homes (mostly vacation cabins). Very spacious and community oriented. Our property is the largest and most spacious parcel in the community. Miles of country roads and creeks to walk along. Surrounded by almost one million acres of Mendocino National Forest land. There is a blend of paved and dirt roads in the area. Some areas good for road bikes and some for mountain bikes. We have access for our guests to the local pond(April-Mid-August) shared only with small community. ***Always do your own research of region prior to arrival. All seasons are very different and so are the activities. Do not expect a very accessible lakeshore in September. Also, hard to spot wildlife during heatwaves and crowded holiday weekends. Pets must be on leash and cleaned up after- Ranch Rules also have a leash law during summer months. Lakes, Creeks and Rivers surround you. Only a 15 minute drive to the Lake Pillsbury Basin from cabin. 45 minute drive to the top of Hull Mountain. A quick walk to the pond and creek within the gates. Winding country roads for great views and wildlife sightings. Access to Polo Field for fetch with your pet or AMAZING Star Gazing at night.
Other things to note
*We have been experiencing a lot of County issued -RED FLAG WARNING DAYS in July- November. Which means it's highly likely that Fire Pits will be banned in this Summer/ Fall season **There is no cell phone service once on dirt road in or the property. Have your directions printed out before hand or save photo on your phone of map that's easy to refer to. Upon arrival there is a gate to enter. You will have access to instructions for a temporary code to enter gate once reservation is set.
***Internet is not 100%accessible on all areas of property. It is best closer to keepers cabin. It is not for streaming and cruising for long periods of time. Just used for necessary times.
The information will be in the Direction and tip section of VRBO (soon). Please read all details in description and location so you are fully informed and equipped for your stay here at the cabins. Don't just just follow (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps etc. some routes to get here are closed for repair.
