The dome is great. It has a very comfortable bed and a cool shower! It was very quiet at night.Jim is a great hostWe enjoyed staying in the dome. I was a little uncertain about the surroundings when we pulled up, but found it to be a very nice place.
We love staying here!! This is the second time in less than a year! Such a nice little spot to hangout for the weekend. Always clean, and comfortable. The only gripe I have is the bed frame!! Watch your toes and your shins around the corners. This is the ONLY thing I would change about this place!! Thanks again for the place to crash for the weekend!
The 'dome' was unique, took a bit to figure out the shower, the 'neighborhood' was also unique, but watching the tides and clamming activities supplied an interesting addition to our daily routines! The supplied heaters and A/C units definitely added to our comfort! Having a real coffee maker was also a plus! Some have kuerigs or french presses, no thanks! A more comfortable chair would've been appreciated, but we survived with what was provided. Chowder from across the street was awesome compared to what we had at Portside restaurant, price and taste! Thanks again, hope the post-it notes we left were helpful! Jim & Barb Peters
We enjoyed our stay. The dome is modern and well provisioned. The shower is truly amazing. The location is a bit funky but really close to a market, restaurants and beautiful beaches. We had a situation but Vrbo called the Host, Jim, and he immediately came and fixed things. Jim was awesome.
We had such a great time here! Walking into the dome was the best surprise ever in that it was so amazing! Beautiful view (wish the fence wasnât there but understand why it is), super clean, pleasant little treats from the hosts, super comfortable bed, amazing shower. We are already looking at dates to go back!! Host is amazing!
This dome was a fun place to stay while in town for the Christmas lights. And glamping is a good way to describe it: the space is equipped with a capsule shower and a kitchenette stocked with complementary snacks and is nicely decorated, but there are no walls that go all the way up to the ceiling or door to the toilet. It is located in an RV park, but only steps away from a store and restaurants and only few minutes away from Share Acres.
The views are amazing! It was quiet throughout the night. We had such great time!
The Coos Bay Dome offers a unique and comfortable glamping experience with beautiful views, a cozy bed, and great amenities. Itâs clean, spacious, and well-heated, with a nice bathroom and a small kitchen stocked with snacks, coffee, and tea. The host was very responsive, making check-in and check-out seamless.Pros:âąVery clean and well-maintainedâąGreat location near the beach and a couple places to eatâąComfy bed & extra blankets for cold nightsâąStylish bathroom & practical kitchenetteâąHeaters kept the dome warm even in freezing weatherCons:âąWiFi didnât workâąHot water runs out quicklyâąNo doors between bedroom and bathroomâąSome road noise, but earplugs helped, and the rain on the dome was relaxingOverall, a fantastic glamping stay if you donât mind minor inconveniences. Highly recommended!
Such a clever different fun way to live for a change! Hwy was a bit noisy but the town shuts down by 9/10. Toilet was a bit tempermemtal but behaved in the end, shower was truly unique & enjoyable as well as the xtra comfy bed , layout, heat & a/c units and of COURSE the beautiful birds in the bay just a stones throw away! Near Sunset beach & several other GORGEOUS parks/beaches/views!
Although the dome is a cool little getaway, it is located right by a main street and you hear traffic noise. It's behind a gift shop with several other trailers. The toilet and windows (especially for the water view) could be cleaner and the shower doesn't drain right. Host was friendly. Right across the street is a market, liquor store and coffew shop as well as restaurants in walking distance. Pretty convenient. We enjoyed the comfy bed, coffee and other goodies - thank you.
We had to change our original travel plans due to the Oregon fires and related smoke-filled air. I found this site on Vrbo and decided to give it a try. In our (far) younger days, we used to camp all the time. But we have become accustomed to good beds, indoor plumbing and other creature comforts. This was perfect - clean, modern, private and secure, with just a hint of camping and a great view!
We stayed at this property for 3 days total and had a blast! The layout and set up couldnât be better. The shower is super fun and the water is HOT! Bed is SUPER comfortable and linens were fresh. Itâs in a little RV park that may seem rough at first, but once youâre in youâre around good people (Bill next door was so nice!!). There is a little road noise but thatâs nothing that a sound machine on Spotify canât fix! The host is responds quickly and is very friendly! You will not have a bad time staying here, we will be back soon!!
