Wonderful place, beautiful view. Just know that it will be in a trailer park and it is the only yurt. I think we were just a bit surprised. It's also right off the main road. Convenient for sure but not 'off the beaten path'. Would stay again though.. extremely clean really nice inside.
The dome itself is perfectly appointed and felt much bigger than it actually was. The location is not very attractive (small RV park) but it was perfectly fine and the (few) people we saw were nothing but friendly. But we were surrounded by beauty elsewhere so we didn't care! We were surprised by a closed gate when we arrived back one night but it wasn't locked so absolutely no biggie. It has heat & a/c but the shower was problematic--either scorching or cold with little in between. My kid put up with it but I didn't think I could handle it. Had I *needed* to shower for any reason, that would've stunk. Instead, *I* chose to stink for a coupla days. It suited our needs perfectly in every other way!
100/100! Had an amazing experience at the dome! We stayed one night for a mini-getaway. Check in was easy and the dome was super clean, cozy and beautiful decorated. The bed was SO comfy- we slept so well and if was just what we needed to relax after a 4 hour drive. The host thought of everything you might need - complimentary snacks, paper plates & cutlery, bottled water to use for coffee & tea, & plug-ins.They have an electric kettle and a real coffee pot which was great. It was nice having both heating and A/C available which kept us very comfortable. The view out the window was peaceful and beautiful - we saw lots of different birds. The dome is located in a small RV park behind a gift shop but we felt safe staying there and our neighbors were quiet. Please note that it is also located off of a main road so traffic can be a bit noisy until 9/10pm but itâs nothing some ear plugs or some white noise canât fix if you are headed to bed early. We didnât use the shower but it looked really neat! The toilet can be a little tricky but we figured it out. There is no door to the bathroom but itâs glamping and we didnât mind. We canât wait to return to this cozy hideaway! Iâd honestly rather stay here than at a hotel.
Such a neat little spot! Very clean and well-maintained, and we loved the unique setup. Check-in and check-out process was very smooth. The host left complimentary snacks and water which was so thoughtful! We would recommend this to friends for sure.
Check in was a breeze with great instructions from our host. Every big and small thing has been thought of. As described, there is not a fill kitchen. However, there is a microwave, fridge, hot water carafe, a coffee maker with coffee provided, creamer, tea and snacks. Also, bottled water in the fridge and a large bottle to use for coffee and tea. All mugs and glasses for water provided along with plenty of paper plates, bowls and also utensils.
The 'dome' was unique, took a bit to figure out the shower, the 'neighborhood' was also unique, but watching the tides and clamming activities supplied an interesting addition to our daily routines! The supplied heaters and A/C units definitely added to our comfort! Having a real coffee maker was also a plus! Some have kuerigs or french presses, no thanks! A more comfortable chair would've been appreciated, but we survived with what was provided. Chowder from across the street was awesome compared to what we had at Portside restaurant, price and taste! Thanks again, hope the post-it notes we left were helpful! Jim & Barb Peters
The dome is great. It has a very comfortable bed and a cool shower! It was very quiet at night.Jim is a great hostWe enjoyed staying in the dome. I was a little uncertain about the surroundings when we pulled up, but found it to be a very nice place.
We love staying here!! This is the second time in less than a year! Such a nice little spot to hangout for the weekend. Always clean, and comfortable. The only gripe I have is the bed frame!! Watch your toes and your shins around the corners. This is the ONLY thing I would change about this place!! Thanks again for the place to crash for the weekend!
The Coos Bay Dome offers a unique and comfortable glamping experience with beautiful views, a cozy bed, and great amenities. Itâs clean, spacious, and well-heated, with a nice bathroom and a small kitchen stocked with snacks, coffee, and tea. The host was very responsive, making check-in and check-out seamless.Pros:âąVery clean and well-maintainedâąGreat location near the beach and a couple places to eatâąComfy bed & extra blankets for cold nightsâąStylish bathroom & practical kitchenetteâąHeaters kept the dome warm even in freezing weatherCons:âąWiFi didnât workâąHot water runs out quicklyâąNo doors between bedroom and bathroomâąSome road noise, but earplugs helped, and the rain on the dome was relaxingOverall, a fantastic glamping stay if you donât mind minor inconveniences. Highly recommended!
This dome was a fun place to stay while in town for the Christmas lights. And glamping is a good way to describe it: the space is equipped with a capsule shower and a kitchenette stocked with complementary snacks and is nicely decorated, but there are no walls that go all the way up to the ceiling or door to the toilet. It is located in an RV park, but only steps away from a store and restaurants and only few minutes away from Share Acres.
The views are amazing! It was quiet throughout the night. We had such great time!
We enjoyed our stay. The dome is modern and well provisioned. The shower is truly amazing. The location is a bit funky but really close to a market, restaurants and beautiful beaches. We had a situation but Vrbo called the Host, Jim, and he immediately came and fixed things. Jim was awesome.
