Craigâs cabin was a perfect quick getaway for a visit to see our son at Penn State. Quiet and remote but only 1/2 hr from campus. It had all the amenities we needed. The steps were a bit steep but not a problem. Loved the outdoor areas (firepit, trails, porches). Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks Craig!
I brought our wrestling club to this house while we competed in a tournament in State College. We had 6 on our party. The house accommodated everyone very nicely, the yard/porch gave us a place to relax between days. Plenty of room to sleep. Owner is very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Very pleased with our stay.
Nice property with lots to do and see. Close enough to PSU for graduation weekend! Could use a second rail on the steep steps upstairs. Bathroom could use some updating along with shower facilities!
This was an excellent stay for my husband and young sons who love to fish. They enjoyed the cabin and fireplace and had a fantastic time fishing with easy access to the pond and stream. They look forward to another stay in the future.
This property is a very nice hunting camp. Well supplied and maintained. The only issue would be privacy. With 2 large bedrooms, side by side, and 8 beds you have to be comfortable sleeping in the same room with everyone else.
We enjoyed another stay at this quaint cabin in the woods. This annual trip brings together three generations of family for some fishing and relaxation.
My daughter wanted to celebrate her masters degree graduation with a cook out, yard games and a bon fire. Warriors Mark fit that bill and allowed us to have a wonderful celebration. The property is gorgeous, had everything we needed and was close to State College. I think it would be equally lovely for a fall or winter get away.
Enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the cabin! Our teenage boys enjoyed being able to fish in the pond and we all loved sitting by the fire and catching up in the evenings!
Just what we like. Nothing fancy but beats a hotel by a thousand times. Really did not utilize property as much as we would have liked, due to camp at PSU, but we look forward to returning.
Our second visit to the cabin was as enjoyable as the first. The family really enjoyed the Peace and quiet, the fire pit and the adjacent field, and seeing way more stars than we do at home.
This was our third annual fishing trip to this particular cabin. The owners keep the place up to date and in clean working order. The on property pond is great for those fishing days where the various local streams are not fishable.
We enjoyed our 2-night stay and appreciated the privacy & seclusion of this cabin, while also being only about 20 minutes away from State College. The living room is cozy, with several large, comfy couches, a TV, and a wood-burning fireplace -- it was a good gathering place. The dining area has a huge table with plenty of room for family game night, and there's also a smaller table as well. Kitchen is well-equipped. Lots of beds to choose from on the second level, although the stairs getting up there are very steep and shallow, and a bit tricky to navigate. The half-bath and separate shower room are a little tight, space-wise, but for our small group (3 people) it was fine. Front porch has some of the most comfortable wooden rocking chairs we've ever sat in & made for a lovely place to sit & rock while reading a book. Outdoor firepit is large, very nice, with plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for much of our stay; we were able to use the firepit on our first night, but non-stop cold rain the next day prevented us from exploring the surrounding property or doing much of anything outside that whole day. We'd like to come back again at a different time of year when it's a little warmer and leaves are on the trees, check out the trails and hopefully do some fishing in the pond or stream.
The cabin was the perfect place to relax after a day at State College for my sonâs wrestling tournament. The boy fished and sat by the fire. Great place to return to again when we are not so busy and can enjoy all the cabin has to offer!
The cabin is cozy but there are definitely no frills. Bring your own bedding, pillows, & towels. The property is secluded & on a private lot. The fire pit is the highlight of this stay! About a 30 minute drive from Beaver Stadium. Would recommend this stay & would come again!
This cabin checks off all the boxes to a perfect vacation about 15 min. from PSU. It was extremely clean, stocked well for cooking, comfortable beds, and an awesome fireplace.
Also, If nature and outdoors is your scene look no further.
We look forward to going back.
The cabin was well maintained and clean. The property was spacious and quiet. Being only a short distance from State College, I was surprised at how private it felt. The number of beds was also appreciated and all guests had plenty of space. The kitchenâs amenities were also a welcomed surprise as we ended up bringing more than necessary. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay!
My wife and I purchased this property as a recreational property to escape to. Our family uses the property to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the front porch or sitting around the fire pit on a crisp morning enjoying our coffee and company, while watching all the wildlife. It is our hope that you enjoy it as well.
Being a graduate of Penn State, we fell in love with the area and all it has to offer. We were looking for property close to Penn State, but also offered privacy in the woods, surrounded by an abundance of wildlife.
We have created a forest stewardship plan and are constantly tending to our forest and numerous food plots around the property. There is an active sawmill on the property that helps put to good use the renewable resource of the forest. In the winter we enjoy tapping our maple trees and making syrup. We live nearby and are blessed that we can use the cabin all year long.
