This home was great for the price and location. It provided just what we needed for finishing up summer work between leases and for move-in weekend. There was one maintenance issue during the 3-week stay, and the owner was very responsive in getting things squared away quickly - much appreciated!
Im tall, so I noticed the top of the stove exhaust vent and top of the fridge hadnt been cleaned in a while. Also, the drain in the bathroom sink was very slow. That said, the rest of the house and property was very clean. Air conditioning, stove, fridge, etc all worked well and were clean and neat.
The location is ideal. Located in the heart of State College. This place had what was needed in our situation and last minute need. Communication was great with host.
Nice, quiet place very convenient, 7- minute drive to campus. Good job rehabbing the mobile homeâs interior. The outside appearance is nothing to brag about but belies the interior. The air conditioner works very well and was life-saving with the heat and humidity this week. Nice to have access to dishwasher, washer and dryer. Refrigerator took time to cool. Would have been nice if the ice trays had been filled. Only one had a few cubes and they werenât fresh. The bathroom sink drains a little slowlyâ not to the extent it poses a real problem but it does need attention. Place is so clean that there is nothing to see or smell that suggests dogs visit. Nice big yard for dog walking but is all hilly. The edge of the road, right where you step up to the first set of stairs, has a deep hole that is stuffed with some pieces of wood or rock (I forget which). It is definitely an accident waiting to happen. The security keypad works better than many Iâve encountered but the lock itself is bot very sturdy/reassuring. When I arrive at a new place, I always do a security check and found all the windows in the master bedroom and the bathroom unlocked. Place has nice view and good privacy and my dog and I enjoyed the visit of deer and some American Toads. I mention some negatives because the do need some attention but I did have a very good stay. If I didnât have my dog, I would have been a little nervous about security.
Wonderful location, quiet setting, and extremely accommodating home for a weekend visit. The place was clean, the access was simple, and the grill works great. So much better than a hotel- privacy, space, solitude. I would stay again if we're ever in need in the area in the future.
We loved this beautiful house very convenient and close to Penn State. The owner was very quick in responding to any queries. The house is cozy and just right. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
Our son had a three months internship at Penn State and we were lucky enough to find this lovely home for him to stay in for the duration of his internship. The homeowners are one of the most lovely people. They are Extremely kind, caring, and helpful. it is rare to come across such wonderful people and we truly appreciated their care and attention. The few very minor issues we had were dealt with instantly! Communicating with the homeowners was very easy and very personable. They are definitely definitely true proud Home Owners.
The home is very close to Penn State, and to a very cute old-fashioned downtown Lamont. All within driving distance to many stores, restaurants, and the university.
The home was very welcoming, cozy and clean.
My son had a wonderful time staying there for his three months internship. Will definitely highly recommend this home for your vacation/business stay in Penn State
The location was great. So close to Penn State, yet you seem out of town. The house was very clean. It was also fully equipped. The kitchen drawers and utensils could use a wash. The outside however was very unkempt. The grass was very long and our dog had 20-25 ticks taken off of him. We could not be in the grass or use the fire pit. Sumac trees were growing up thru the deck. The solar outdoor light never worked so it was very dark to take the walk from your car to the front door. The dip at the steps was a bit dangerous in the dark. However, the host was wonderful, very accommodating and we had a great stay.
The property is very convenient to PSU which was a major selling point. It was clean and offered what we needed. The property manager was good at communication and timely. There was plenty of parking but located adjacent to the property. We had a doe and three fawns visit a couple of days in the back yard so a little bit of country right in the city
We stayed her during our daughter's New Student Orientation. All hotels were booked, so we needed something clean and near the college. The property was just as advertised. In fact, we had to extend one night at the last moment, and the owner was very helpful and worked with us to extend despite limitations of the website. The beds and bath were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our small needs. Would recommend.
The outside is unimpressive, even a little shabby but the inside was clean and comfortable with everything we neededâeven laundry! It is private with a back deck that is comfortable. We had our dog with us and appreciated the room. I would guess that this would be a great respite from the noise and activity in State College on game days!
Our family enjoyed our stay in State College! We know the area so we just needed a landing spot while we visited friends and showed our little one around. The place could use some updates but it was nothing that got in the way of our stay. We will definitely look to stay again if the need arises!
Upon arrival we found the property clean and tidy with cute decor and nicely arranged. The 2 night we arrived back at the house to find wasps in the bathroom. Called owners and they responded quickly. Later that night gnats and wasps were once again in the house not only in the bathroom but kitchen area as well. We dealt with them on our own but it wasnât a pleasant experience each evening.

My house gives you the relax and quiet feeling of being in wilderness but at the same time you are so close to town and all the store and places that you need!
