Overall, a nice place in a good location close to the attractions. Clean, equipped and comfortable. Three minor things that would have upped our review to 5 stars - 1) The shower faucet; maddening to operate and God forbid you accidentally bump it rinsing your hair. You'll either get scalded or frozen. Needs replacement. 2) The imitation Keurig. For those who don't use K-cups, it's a PIA. A 25 5-cup Mr. Coffee with real filters, not a screen, doesn't leave silt in your cup and is easier to clean. 3) The hot tub noise in the bedroom. Beware light-sleepers! The hot tub is right outside the bedroom door. It will keep you awake unless you use earplugs. It's that loud. Other than that, we had a nice stay.
Clean and quaint. Hot tub in the back porch was wonderful, especially after a long night at a wedding. Overall very cozy and loved the Halloween decorations!
The property was perfect for our weekend get away! It was exactly as advertised. It was very clean. The hot tub was great! We enjoyed the scenic property and it being close to hiking trails.
The cabin was so quiet! We're from the city and live in a quiet neighborhood but this cabin was silence. The nature was beautiful, the scenery was breathtaking and the hot tub was spotless and the perfect way to relax.
Great location. Far enough from the city without being totally back woods. All the basics, including coffee maker, but bring your own coffee. Every drive through the winding roads really made it feel very secluded. Furnishings were great and smart tv allowed me to sign into my own apps. A great retreat into the woods!
Property was very clean, quiet and , secluded as advertised. Property owner was located very close to cabin which was good if you needed help. Satellite tv and internet worked very well. Which was good since we had no cell service. Would have hoped the refrigerator was a little larger.
This prooerty location is remote so check your list buy what you need before you get there. Don't usually mention places to eat in my reviews. But if you like pizza Papa Dinos is great. Less than 2 miles from the cabin in South Bloomingville.
Iâve been wanting to visit Hocking Hills for a long time & finally had the chance. This place sits back in the woods from the owners place and feels so secluded. It was comfortable and relaxing. The hot tub was a nice addition to have & was so relaxing after a full day of hiking. There is a firepit ( which we didnât use). The owner introduced himself & assured us if we needed anything to let him know. Would definitely come back.
This property was nestled in the woods and was very quiet and secluded. The home was clean and had everything we needed. Very pretty area to relax and enjoy being outside.
We have lived here for over 37 years. The cabin is hidden back close to the woods. You can enjoy your coffee on the porch, while hearing the sounds of nature and enjoying the view. We feel it is the perfect location for the cabin. We enjoy useing the cabin on occasion ourselves for just a peaceful evening on the porch.
The cabin is secluded and close to the woods. It is quiet and peaceful setting to just relax in the hot tub anytime of day. You can sit back and just hear the sounds of natural, birds singing ,owls hooting, or just gaze at the stars. If you prefer to enjoy some of the state parks. The cabin is 6 miles from Ash cave depending on the route you take, 10 miles from Old manâs cave, and 15 miles to Tar Hollar. We are approximately 2 miles from Hocking county line.
