Ce penthouse spacieux et ensoleillĂ© est la maison idĂ©ale loin de chez vous. Notre immeuble est l'un des Victoriens les plus historiques en plein cƓur du centre-ville. C'est Ă©galement le bĂątiment le plus photographiĂ© du centre-ville de Pacific Grove que nous appelons Ă©galement «la derniĂšre ville natale de l'AmĂ©rique». Ce charmant penthouse offre une vue magnifique sur le centre-ville et la baie de Monterey. Ceci est une unitĂ© entiĂšrement meublĂ©e dĂ©corĂ©e dans le charme victorien et le confort de la maison avec deux (2) chambres et une (1) salle de bain. Cette unitĂ© est parfaite pour jusqu'Ă  quatre (4) personnes. Il y a 24 heures de stationnement hors site. Il y a aussi une toute nouvelle cuisine sur mesure magnifiquement dĂ©corĂ©e. La salle de bain spacieuse et propre. Il y a aussi une laveuse et une sĂ©cheuse disponibles pour votre lavage. Venez prendre le petit dĂ©jeuner en bas avant de vous promener dans le magnifique centre-ville pour faire du shopping, Ă  deux pĂątĂ©s de maisons de l'ocĂ©an, Ă  cĂŽtĂ© de notre salle de cinĂ©ma et Ă  1,6 km de l'aquarium de Monterey Bay. Cette unitĂ© est de premiĂšre classe et trĂšs propre. MĂȘme si vous ĂȘtes en plein centre-ville, cette unitĂ© est trĂšs calme. Les clients ont dit que c'Ă©tait plus calme que de rester le long de la route ocĂ©anique.

Cette unité a de beaux planchers de bois franc en teck gratté à la main, de hauts plafonds et est décorée avec goût. Installez-vous sur le canapé dans la baie vitrée avant avec un bon livre et profitez de regarder notre centre-ville en action.

C'est une promenade facile de 2 pĂątĂ©s de maisons de Lover's Point et le sentier rĂ©gional Ă  couper le souffle qui serpente le long de la baie de Monterey. Vous pouvez marcher au sud autour de la plage d'État d'Asilomar ou au nord jusqu'Ă  l'aquarium de Monterey Bay, Cannery Row et Fisherman's Wharf. N'oubliez pas de visiter notre magnifique phare de Point Pinos.

Montez dans votre voiture et vous pouvez vous rendre Ă  Pebble Beach (17 Mile Dr.). Il est Ă  seulement 5 minutes, 10 minutes du centre-ville de Carmel, 20 minutes de Carmel Valley et 45 minutes de Big Sur.

The Victorian Penthouse exceeded our expectations in every way. The 3 bedroom unit is spacious and the interior has been recently modernised, yet the updated decor respects the historic nature of the building. While Lighthouse Avenue is a main commercial street in Pacific Grove (offering many restaurants and boutique shops), it gets quite quiet after about 9:30 pm (to the point where deer roam the street) including on the weekend we stayed. Noise from the restaurant below was negligible, with the loudest noise being soft conversations from the sidewalk cafe filtered through open windows. The kitchen has all the amenities you need, although we just made coffee there since breakfast in the restaurant below is so tasty. Dominic and Mary are friendly and responsive hosts. They are usually on the property as they also manage the restaurant. If we get back to the Monterey Bay Area, we will definitely stay at the Victorian Penthouse again!

Mary’s apartment's was great. It’s a full three bedroom [though local law requires it to be listed as a two]. Apartment was fully stocked; very comfortable and very clean. There is an eat-in kitchen and lovely Victorian living room.Pacific Grove is a cute town—with good restaurants and a fine coffee shop a block away.Very convenient to Carmel and Big Sur.Though not at all an issue for us, I should note that there is a twenty step internal entrance stairway.

Wonderful Place- Beautiful town

I had visited Monterey years ago on a business trip and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to share the experience with my family—and I’m glad I did. The house is beautiful and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The hosts are wonderful: responsive, friendly, and incredibly helpful.Since they own and operate the restaurant downstairs, we not only enjoyed delicious meals but also received excellent local recommendations for things to see and do. I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with a mellow climate, welcoming people, and a chance to truly unplug.Before you go, brush up on John Steinbeck- a native of the area. His novel Cannery Row offers a quirky glimpse into the area’s past during the heyday of commercial sardine fishing. I read it while visiting, and it added a fun and interesting perspective in now the area has evolved over the years.

Mary's apartment was ideally located in the heart of downtown Pacific Grove, just a short walk from the ocean and a number of great restaurants. The apartment was extremely clean and very well appointed. Mary was readily available and attentive. We hope to return sometime soon.

Charming Property in the Heart of Pacific Grove

I have always loved this area of the Pacific Coast and when my spouse and friends were coming back for the Big Sur International races, I was very excited to find this gem of a property in downtown Pacific Grove. Check-in and out were perhaps the easiest in my 20 years of using VRBO. Parking was a breeze with 3 HR available out front and a free parking lot ajacent. All 3 rooms are very comfortable and have ceiling fans. When needed, the wall heaters in the bathroom and lounge made us very cozy. The kitchen was nicely equipped with coffee pods and all the appliances you could need (blender, toaster, etc.). What made this stay most special are the people. Mary was a generous host with her wonderful restaurant right under the property, and she even arranged with the kitchen to have coffee for us early on our first morning, and she shared tips on parking on favorite places in PG. Her kindness was not unique, in fact every single restaurant, grocery store, pub, brewery we walked to had some of the nicest people who were very engaging and legitimately interested in what brought us for a visit and even how our races went. The location is even walkable to Cannary Row, I would recommend along the water, if you don't mind a 1.8 mile stroll. Places we tried out and recommend: La Mia Cucina, The Monarch, PG Meetinghouse, Mary's restaurant Aliotti's (breakfast and dinner), Grove Market, Hops & Fog. We will be back. Thank you to Mary for a lovely stay.

Wonderful Stay

Mary's place was wonderful and perfect for a long weekend around Monterey. Located above a little restaurant (which we had a lovely brunch at), it is right in the middle of a downtown strip. Close to the aquarium and parking was relatively easy (there is a 24 hour lot next door - though don't confuse it with the short term lot it's connected to). The rental was clean and well taken care of and we all found it super charming. Thanks, Mary!

A Gem in Pacific Grove

Let me first give a resounding positive review on this gem of a place to stay in PG. The unit is even cuter in person. It was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. It is also convenient walking distance to most of what PG has to offer including shops, restaurants, and even the coast. Should we ever need to return to the area I would love to stay again. That being said, and in the spirit of a thorough review, the biggest challenge was that the (probably original) single pane windows do nothing to block out the noise. And the noise really doesn’t come from any of the restaurants, but the shockingly loud sea gulls and the trash collectors/street cleaners (on certain days). I had to use my ear plugs after the first night of poor sleep. I wouldn’t let it deter you, just come prepared.

This apartment is cozy, beautiful and spotless clean. It is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and a market. The kitchen is stunning and well equipped. The owners also own the restaurant downstairs which has delicious, beautifully presented food, and it couldn't be more convenient. I would recommend it and stay there again in a heartbeat.

Best place to explore Monterey and surroundings

We loved the apartment! From the brand new kitchen to the excellent beds. It was welcoming and super clean. Photos do not do it justice. The steps are tall but easy to climb and parking is super easy. The location was a great base to explore the area and the proximity of a wide choice of restaurants made our evenings nice and relaxing.

We have owned this beautiful downtown Victorian since 2000. This building was built in 1893 and kept up with tender loving care. It is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Pacific Grove. We own and operate our restaurant Victorian Corner which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoy visiting with our locals and also meeting new people from all over the world. We have two children that keep up very busy as well.

Since we have owned the building we always wondered what would be best to do with the penthouse above the restaurant. We are so proud and we know the space is so beautiful we just want to have it available for visitors to Pacific Grove to be able to experience our excitement.
