Step inside to find a warm and welcoming space with natural light coming in from the skylight and windows. The main living area features a queen-size pull-out sofa bed and a double bed with soft linens and pillows, ensuring a restful nightâs sleep.
The kitchenette is compact yet equipped with everything you need to prepare light meals or snacks. You'll find an induction stove-top, air fryer, fridge, microwave and a coffee maker.
The private bathroom is modern, featuring a shower, fresh towels, and complimentary shampoo and conditioner to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Outside, youâll find a shared yard space where you can take in the fresh air, relax under the trees, or enjoy your meals in the outdoor seating area. The space is perfect for unwinding after a day of hiking, kayaking, or exploring the local wineries. The shared dock is the perfect spot to sip your coffee as the morning mist rises off the river or take a refreshing dip on a warm afternoon. In the evenings, the covered communal firepit provides the perfect ambiance for stargazing or meeting fellow travelers.

Cowichan Lake Riverside is a boutique motel nestled along the stunning Cowichan River in Lake Cowichan, BC. Our property offers a serene, riverside escape with easy access to the charming downtown area. Guests can enjoy comfortable, well-appointed rooms with modern amenities and scenic views of the river.
The property features shared access to outdoor spaces, including a dock for relaxing and swimming, a BBQ area, and a firepit. With downtown shops, restaurants, and beaches just steps away, our motel provides the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty and local culture of the Cowichan Valley.
As part of our standard operating procedures, we require the following:
1. Identity Verification on Day of Check-In
We ask all guests to complete a brief identity verification process on the day of check-in. This may include uploading a government-issued photo ID through our secure external system prior to receiving self check-in instructions. This is a common standard across hotels, motels, and professional accommodations in Canada.
2. Pre-Authorization Security Hold
We collect a 500CAD pre-authorization hold (not a charge) on the guestâs credit card through our secure payment processor 24 - 48 hours prior to check-in. This is not a deposit as no funds are withdrawn unless policy violations occur. The hold is automatically released within 7 days after check-out, provided there are no issues. These measures help us maintain a safe, respectful environment for all guests and ensure the quality of our property is protected
