The cottage was beautiful and really cozy. It was a quick drive to amenities and entertainment. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
Love the house, very Crate and Barrel with a good layout. Few miles out of town and quiet. We'll be back when the weather is cooler to make s'mores on the chiminea. Thank you!
We stayed here while visiting family for Mother's day. We met the owners John and Juretta and right away knew we had made the right decision. The place is cute and comfortable, had everything we needed and the owners were a real joy to visit with, they even let us take the kids to the pool at their home on the other side of the acreage. We look forward to seeing them again next time we visit the area.
Beautiful area and abundant wildlife. The facility was clean and well prepared for visitors, would love to return and stay if available. I can not say enough about the experience .................
Exactly what was pictured - wonderful host, wonderful cottage, enjoyed the peace, quiet and country
Jurretta was a wonderful host, we enjoyed a full week in the country, hummingbirds frequenting the front porch. It was comfortable, modern, clean and just what was pictured in the reviews. Only 10 minutes away from town, easy drive to anywhere we wanted to go - and a nice base for travel into Fort Worth. Couldn't ask for anything more. Plenty of privacy, peace and quiet and just a wonderful stay.
The property is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The location and hot tub were the main reasons we selected this property. We wanted a secluded space to relax and celebrate our anniversary. Most stores and restaurants were about 10 to 15 minutes away which provided us with easy access to food and other necessities. Even though we were in the country, the property had great cell phone reception and internet service. Drinking our morning coffee on the front porch listening to the chirping birds was such a treat and the hot tub was so relaxing. The owner was very attentive to our needs and was always quick to respond to our questions. This property provided us with an amazing mini vacation. We will definitely be back again!
A perfect get away for 4 old friends to reunite. The property was great for us since we are all county gals. This place is very private, no hassle, no crowds, no traffic, but just a few miles from Weatherford. Absolutely everything we needed. The house was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. And, Juretta was GREAT!! She made sure all was perfect for us. The pool was great. The front porch "sitting" was very relaxing, watching the rabbits, road runners, cardinals and other wild life. Reminded me of my childhood. We plan on making this an annual trip. Thanks again to our wonderful host and hostess.
The location felt like we were in the hill country! House was super clean and so well laid out for two couples. Hot tub was fabulous. Juretta was quick to respond (when I messed up the TV remote!). Would definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home! The peace and tranquility away from the city is just what we needed. The house has everything you could possibly need or want. Highly recommend!
Came to spend the week for Thanksgiving. Juretta was awesome and answered most of my texts quickly. With that said, the curtains in the living room are see through and that pack of privacy was not ideal. Additionally, the double oven was really cool, however, the bottom range has a problem with either the thermostat or the hearing element as it never came up to temp as I tried to cook our turkey. This was not reported by me to Juretta so this is more of an FYI as we didn't want people coming in to fix it. Instead, after 3 hours I just broke down the turkey and cooked it for another hour in the top.
The place is extremely clean and quite beautiful, don't get me wrong. There is however two cabins about thirty feet apart which was unexpected as we were looking to get away completely from anyone, and we spent multiple days watching vehicles coming and going.
Lastly, my wife and I both ended up with lower back pain due to uncomfortable furniture. I have neck problems though, which is in no way this properties problem, but we ended up having to go out and buy a recliner. We ended up leaving a few days early, just nothing to do anywhere in the area despite us looking for something to do. It is unfortunate, because like I said, Juretta is awesome, the property is beautiful, again, just not our cup of tea.
We booked this house for our bridal group to stay at before our wedding and I would not recommend it. The house was clean but the towels smelled moldy. Our first day here the owner had come by already complaining that the lid to the spa was open, even though we were about to use it. This was an amenity clearly listed online but apparently not one you can actually enjoy. The following day she showed up AGAIN complaining because we had hair and makeup here for us to get ready for our wedding that was located 30 minutes away. The stay was not at all comfortable and felt as if we were constantly being watched. Do not recommend this house.
I came to this cottage to disconnect and relax and it was worth every penny. Very clean, comfortable space with all of the amenities I needed. I must have used the hot tub twice a day! Iâll be back!
The property is well-kept, and the host is very kind. The space is beautiful and comfortable and not to far from the city, but far enough you can see the stars!
GPS took us to the owner's residence. Her husband graciously let us know we missed the cottage. He was so kind. The cottage was amazing. Clean, comfortable, quiet and away from it all. The hot tub was wonderful and the pool was fantastic! I neglected to read that the pool was down the road at the owner's house, but that was my fault. The owner was very sweet and super responsive. Check in and out was so easy. We will be going back!
This place is nothing short of awesome, they have literally thought of everything you could need while your there. Definitely going to book this place again in the future.
My husband and I purchased our 120 acre farm in 1968. We love the land and spending time with our family and friends. In the early 1980's, we planted over 500 peach trees on the back acreage of our land. We sold our peaches at the Weatherford Farmers' Market and were one of many producers that sold and showed peaches at the 1st Annual Parker County Peach Festival. In 1990, we built The Harvester and sold peaches, antiques and collectibles for many years. When we became unable to care for our orchard, The Harvester was remodeled into a guest house. We have 4 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. We look forward to making many new friends and memories through The Harvester Cottage!
