I am so happy we were able to stay at this property on our recent trip to Clemson! I normally spend days looking at properties and comparing reviews, but I was so last minute in making this booking that I didnât look at any reviews. Needless to say, I went into this trip with low expectations. We got in late Friday evening and the house was easy to find, even in the dark. There was plenty of outdoor lighting while we unloaded. Walking in the door, I was very impressed with how clean the property was. The beds were very comfortable and it was easy to get in and fall right to sleep. I had a few questions and the host messaged me very quickly with responses. The only suggestion I would have - Iâm used to there being a binder or folder of information when i stay in a VRBO with password, check out procedures, local restaurants, etc and there was not one in this house. That said, Itâs just a suggestion and did not deter from our stay.
House was clean & perfect for our family of 9 (all adults). Plenty of space and had a great open family room/kitchen area where we all gathered comfortably. The home is not actually on the lake but is across the street and the heavily wooded path has no trespassing signs posted. We could see the lake from the front porch but not very well. Communication with the owner was very confusing at times. After I paid in full, she told me I hadnât paid for cleaning and requested more money. Check in was easy but we werenât given a WiFi password until a day later. House is advertised as sleeping 18 but they provided about 8 bath towels total. Overall, it was a good stay for a graduation weekend being 20 minutes from Clemson. If it werenât for the lack of towels and communication, I would give it 5 stars. Just make sure you keep all your receipts and all communications in writing.
