Loved the place and was so quiet! Lots of fishing locations also. All the accommodations at the cabin were great, you honestly donât need to bring anything. We would highly recommend spending time there.
The cabin provided practically all that was needed for our weekend stay. It was clean and spacious, too.
Located less than 7 miles form downtown Ohiopyle, it was just a short drive to enjoy all activities. Also quite close to Falling Water & Kentuck Knob. Would definitely consider for future trips.
This is the most meticulously upkept cabin you have stayed at! The place feels like you have left the civilization behind for a couple days and sometimes that is exactly what you needed.
Couple notes for your upcoming trip: There's very very poor cell signal. The surrounding area is a hunting area so choose your hiking spots wisely. The upper bunk bed is a little close to the ceiling, probably OK for the kids but my husband had trouble getting out of there when he tried it.
The cabin was just the way the pictures shown and was fully equipped with everything you would need, including wasp and hornet spray. Ty. We were able to pack light and have more time to enjoy this beautiful area. The location was prefect because it was surrounded by woods, but yet close enough to Ohiopyle State Park so you didn't waste time driving long distances to view the sights. Definitely, will stay her again when visiting this area Thank you Patrick and Donna for a wonderful stay!
The cabin and property were pristine, and so quiet, that the only noise I heard was that you were three cars that passed daily. This place is VERY far from everything, so, to buy water for the trip required a half hour drive. The bed was comfy. The shower had lots of hot water in the kitchen contained everything (except water). There was plenty of furniture in the living room. Lots and lots of outdoor space for kids to play or for outdoor games.
The property was perfect for us. I was with a group of 5 men and we enjoyed the house. Itâs amazing how quiet it was and sitting under the stars with a camp fire going was the perfect way to end our days of rafting and hiking. The hosts were wonderful folks and easy to communicate with. WiFi was iffy but itâs understandable because it was satellite Wi-Fi with 5 guys trying to communicate with their families in the evening hours. Cell service is sketchy at best as well but you are in the mountains. All of this was clearly communicated as well so we knew what we were getting into . Ohiopyle has so much to offer and this was a great place to experience it all.
We just recently stayed here for a quick last minute trip. The cabin itself is in nice condition. Beds and pillows are not comfortable so bring your own pillows. Make sure to bring towels (bath towels, hand towels for kitchen and bathroom) because there are none provided. We brought our own sheets because it was expensive to have them provided. They do provide a very small stack of firewood so we opted to pay extra for more. It was two wheel barrels full which only got us through the 1/2 the second night (we spent most of the evening outside by the fire). My husband went to a home owner down the road and received 4 large bag fulls (almost double) for half the price. There are plenty of places to get firewood there so don't spend the extra money for this. My biggest complaint was that on the day of our arrival we arrived at the cabin in the pouring rain to find that the code we were given did not work. Cell phones do not work at the cabin so we had to drive down the road a few miles to get service. I tried calling 3 different numbers but got voicemail on all of them. I tried texting and emailing as well. After awhile we eventually went down to try again and my husband decided to try the cabin next door and the code worked. He had given us the wrong address to match the code we had. We unpacked and got settle in for the evening. This was around 4-5 pm. I had started calling around 3pm. He arrived at the cabin at 9 pm to see if we got in ok. He said he called but my phone didn't work to receive the calls. Then he came on our 3rd day in the cabin and asked when we would be checking out for the day when we had the cabin booked for another night. We have two dogs. He said the pet fee was a Flat fee and not a fee per dog. One of the other guests ended up bringing his dog last minute and when the owner came to check if we got in the cabin 6 HR LATER he was upset about the extra dog. However, nowhere in the info on VRBO or the info he sent me does it have a limit on the number of dogs that I could see. I offered to pay extra but he declined. So please note that it is a 2 dog MAX.
Overall it is a nice cabin that is fairly close to Ohiopyle for rafting. The accommodations are limited as far as the kitchen as well but we made due just fine. Our interaction with the owner was not as nice and was somewhat upsetting on that first day. Probably wouldn't stay here again.
The cleanliness and cabin furnishings exceeded our expectations! We were very comfortable without much technology available. It made our trip quiet and relaxing.
What a great country modern, comfortable well-lit roomy cabin! It has a good heating system that quickly warmed up the cabin in the morning. The thermostat shows outside temperature. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable, lots of cabin storage space, and three good sofas. On check-in we had trouble getting the door to unlock. Soon, Donnaâs voice came on from apparently a ring tone feature. To unlock you put the code numbers in slowly and then press the unlock icon. To lock from outside, pull the door toward you as you press the lock icon. If this does not work, do an unlock, and then try again. It was an enjoyable place to stay in mid-May. There was very little road traffic, even quieter at night. We were glad we stayed here.
Very cute place! Well stocked kitchen with supplies and lots of towels in the bathroom. Extra pillows too!!! The only negative was a lot of stink bugs, most dead inside, but a few alive.
My dog and I enjoyed our 2 night stay. The place was clean and comfortable and everything worked as it should. Would stay again if ever back in the Ohiopyle area.
Beautiful spacious log cabin, it was plenty of space for the 4 of us to spread out. It had the feeling of being out in the woods, yet only a few minutes drive to Ohiopyle. We enjoyed our long weekend, and definitely would like to do it again.
We enjoyed our second year visiting this property! The scenery is beautiful, the space was adequate for our group. Loved the fire pit, used it each night!
From the booking process, to communicating with the owners, to actually getting to stay there â it was a wholly wonderful time. The cabin is clean and inviting and it was a joy to make memories there. Thank you so much, Patrick and Donna!
This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. It was clean and had all of the amenities one might need, even a dishwasher! The location is also perfect, just a few miles from Ohiopyle.
