Great little cabin

Beautiful location. Tranquil location. Host was super friendly and helpful. Easy access to Texas Motor Speedway. Very close to Roanoke and its many restaurants. Great food.

Perfect Home away from Home

The photos can’t capture the tranquility of the location and coziness of the house.The location is breathtaking. It’s spacious and serene. If you are looking for a place to escape the rush of the everyday this is the spot to enjoy and reset. There are a lot of activities to do, there’s sitting areas outside, horseshoes and a creek nearby. The pond is also nice to enjoy.The house has many amenities needed for your stay. There’s a kitchen with refrigerator able to fit some beverages and some groceries. We cooked breakfast the few days we were there. There are many restaurants about 2-3 miles away from the house. Marylin’s (our host) recommendations were good choices. This was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway and I definitely recommend staying here.I appreciate Marylin’s quick response to my questions and her checking to make sure we arrived safely and to ask if we needed anything. Overall a pleasant stay! Looking forward to returning.

Wonderful

In town for a doctor's appointment for the wife and could not have been more pleased with this cozy place. Thoughtful little treats throughout. My only complaint was the shower but I am a pretty big guy.

Great way to clear your head

I chose this location as a place to clear my mind after a traumatic event in my personal life. Not only were the hosts very kind and gracious, but the location was perfect. I was able to explore the grounds and visit the animals and go on some nice hikes in the woods. It was relaxing and exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this property.

A Hidden Gem

This cabin is beyond wonderful. Clean, comfortable, and beautiful. There are plenty of activities, amenities, and hidden gems throughout the property. The owners are right there if you ever need anything and you always feel welcome. As a bonus, the area nearby has everything you might need for your stay. I recommend this cabin a million times over.

Best rental on VRBO I've stayed at!

I mean it when I say this is the best rental we have stayed at! Marilyn and Johnny were extremely welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Not to mention, some of the friendliest people you will meet!. The cabin is exactly as pictured/ described in the listing. It's cozy, and the fire pit is very enjoyable on colder nights. The creek is beautiful and very clear when it doesn't rain. If you have kids, the animals on the property are a great plus. The pond along with the creek makes for good fishing options if you are into it. I did not get the opportunity to get some bites, but will definitely try my hand on our next stay. There is plenty of outdoor space to spread out or play with kids and pets, plus a newly cut trail along the creek to explore. The multiple grills make for versatile cooking depending on if you prefer smoking, charcoal or gas. Last but not least, the location is awesome! Fort Worth, Grapevine and Dallas are all very reasonable commutes, and grocery stores/ restaurants are only 10 min away! Overall you can't go wrong here!

Incredible, western style ranch

Property is amazing. Just about 45 minutes from dallas, 20 minutes from Fort Worth and DFW. You get a full west Texas feel, the owners are amazing. They’ve got great dogs, animals and the property is amazing. We built a fire every day, the house is perfect for a couple who want to get away. Will absolutely be back!

A slice of paradise indeed!

My party had a peaceful two night stay. The oak trees on the property were breathtaking and the two Great Pyrenees who lived on site were delightful company. The interior of the cabin was cosy and clean kept with comfortable sleeping arrangements and some complimentary snacks. The true magic of the cabin is definitely the wrap around porch with ample lounge chairs and a hammock to sway in. The perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. A wholesome reset from the buzz of city life. Thank you again to my kind hosts!

Anniversary stay

Made plans to celebrate our anniversary with a concert in Dallas and some exploring in Ft. Worth. This was the perfect location for both. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine, cheese, & crackers. I had a nice visit with Marilyn before my husband arrived. My husband arrived Thursday night & our friend joined us on Friday. We made use of the outdoor space, grilled steaks, played Yahtzee & went for a walk around the property escorted by the pair of Great Pyrenees. We met the goats, sat by the creek and were serenaded by donkeys & peacocks. It was a very relaxing weekend.. Highly recommend!

Country relaxing.

My wife and 2 children stayed for 5 days while our house was been worked on inside. It was perfect! Marylin and Johnny are awesome and there for you. We highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away!

Quiet minutes from everything

Booked this property prior to a licensing exam to just relax and unplug for a few days and it was perfect. Super cute, owners were beyond kind and helpful (I stumbled into some fire ants) and they have the best fire pit to just sit outside and enjoy. Would highly recommend the property. Make sure to note there is no actual stove, but there’s a grill, charcoal grill and smoker for use.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We have stayed at this property three times. It is wonderful-so peaceful and relaxing. The porches are fabulous! The cabin is inviting and very comfortable-all essentials are provided. Marilyn and Johnny are wonderful hosts and make every effort to make your stay perfect!

Quiet Hideaway

This property is in a quiet and beautiful place and has that true country feel. Shopping and restaurants are close by. The cabin was cute and cozy and has everything you need. We loved walking out to the longhorns and cows, watching the dogs and goats and the owners are truly one of a kind. They are accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway!

Roanoke Cabin

Cozy cabin located on 22 beautiful acres. Great place to stay while on business in Fort Worth. Easy access to the highway , groceries and fuel while maintaining secluded privacy. Marylin has thought of everything so no need to pick up additional supplies. We highly recommend this cabin

We live in the adjacent property next door to this peaceful, relaxing get-away, in our own "little piece of heaven" & enjoy sharing it with others. The cabin is surrounded with trees, creek, hiking trails, farm animals & more!
