This home is located on the water at a cliff side beach. We enjoyed our stay. It is comfortable, clean and in a good location. The owners were helpful and accommodating. The only downside was there were not a lot of supplies in the house for cooking, so if you like to cook (we do) you will need to bring some things like seasonings etc. there are pans and dishes and bowls, but basic things like salt were not there. Also, no blankets. We did have our own linens so it wasnât an issue but if you needed one, there werenât any. Other than that it was a lovely place and Iâd go back again.
Property was excellent! Great location - quiet neighborhood with beach access. Downstairs area is great for teens or those who want their own âprivateâ area. The photos donât do the view justice - stunning look out over the Cape!
The view from the yard is even better now than the pictures show, itâs spectacular! This is our 4th year returning to this property and I plan to come every year for as long as Maureen owns it. She is a flexible and responsive property owner and even though Iâve never met her, I feel like I know her! The beach is so easy to get to and so private; some days, thereâs no one else on the beach. When I do run into folks, everyone is so friendly, especially the locals, I almost feel like itâs my neighborhood after all these years! The best part is the sealsâŠthey lay on the rocks when the tide is low, and make their funny noises, itâs so amusing! Thereâs also nesting shorebirds a little ways north at Ellisville Harbor; I got to see piping plovers running in the waters edge, so cute!I know I run the risk of enticing others to rent this property, creating competition for me to get the week I want, but it deserves to be sharedâŠ.its a beautiful place to vacation!
I rented Maureen's home months prior to my stay thinking I was going to have a great ocean side summer getaway from our home in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. I did not realize the significance of her home and how it would heal me. My dad passed away July 7 just a couple days into our vacation. The empathy Maureen showed me and my family was as if I had known her for years. We debated canceling our trip and returning home but decided that a few days may do us some good before we braced the reality of laying him to rest. I am so glad we made the decision to stay. The calmness of the ocean and the aura in her home brought me such peace and serenity. I truly believe I was meant to be at her home that week and in some way God had a plan for me that week. We will be returning next year on the same week as a tribute to my dad. I hope her home brings you as much joy as it did to my family and I.
This was the perfect spot for us. Ocean view, fairly short walk to the private beach where there were maybe 6 others there. Close to grocery store etc. Private yard and so quiet! House was clean and comfortable, open floor plan. Host is responsive. We will rent again!
This is our second time staying at this rental and just as the first time, it didn't dissappoint. The view is even more expansive this time around. If you're looking for some place to relax and unwind, this is it! The listing is exactly as advertised and the host, Maureen, is wonderful. I would highly recommend.
Exceeded all expectations. Amazing view of the ocean with the added bonus of watching the seals lounge on the rocks. Beach access was just a quick walk up the street. Our pup Rosie loved strolling the beach while I hunted for beach glass. The cottage was very clean with Everything you could ever need and spacious with the rooms downstairs, plenty of space to spread out. We will book again.
We loved everything about the place, waking up to morning sunrises over cape cod bay, the house was clean and bed was comfy, location was great as it was great home base for us to explore Plymouth, Lexington, Concord, Boston, Nantucket, Martha Vineyard, Cape Cod. Located one mile from Grocery, CVS, Restaurants and Gas station and easy to get on main highways within 3 miles.
Wonderful time with my 2 teen boys. Our 3rd time staying here. We love this place, and our stay always feels too short. Every time it's so hard to leave. Could never get tired of the view. We will keep coming back! Thanks!
very quiet and peaceful to stay at this location close enough to go all the way to Provincetown, connecticut, rhode island, spend time in plymouth which is just a hop and skip up the road or just spend time down at the beach watching the seals and collecting shells
We had a beautiful vacation here! The house was perfect, the backyard and view were amazing, and the walk (with stairs) to the beach made it an easy vacation. We loved being able to relax on the beach or in the backyard and see and hear the seals. The location was close to so many delicious restaurants. The host, Maureen, was easily contacted and very helpful. 10/10 would recommend to anyone staying in the area!
It was just perfect. I grew up in Middleboro and always rented Onset. But this rental was just perfect. Maureen was outstanding! I will be renting next year!
We were looking for a conveniently located place from which to visit friends and family in various spots around the area so we didnÂŽt intend to spend a lot of time at this rental. Which is a good thing because it isnÂŽt very charming or inviting. The back yard is not landscaped and cheaply outfitted with what looks like Ocean State Job Lot furniture, and while it looks out on the bay the view is so overgrown that you can barely see the water. The porch outside the lower level entrance was covered in weeds, with an uncoiled garden hose for decoration.
Inside, we found hairballs in the closets and hairs in one of the beds so we stripped and washed all the (polyester) bedding. Not really what you want to do first thing after a 16-hour overseas trip!
The decor will be appreciated by all lovers of the Christmas Tree Store aesthetic. All the curtains on the lower level are way too long for the windows, and hung from cheap tension rods that came down every time we tried to actually open or close the curtains.
Also, donÂŽt be fooled by the piano in the pictures - it isnÂŽt there, and we brought our sheet music for nothing.
Lastly, the owners expect guests not just to strip the beds and start the laundry (which would be fine) but also to wait around on their departure day until it is dry and then fold it and put it back in the closet. I think that is a bridge too far - this is a vacation rental, and one pays for cleaning, after all.
On the plus side: functional kitchen, laundry.
We loved the property! The ramp worked out well for disabled party members. The view out of the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room provided a fantastic view of the ocean and cape cod. Those windows were also our dogsâ favorite, as they sat watching the squirrels and birds whenever they got a chance. We would love to stay there again someday!
We had an excellent two week stay at Maureen's property. Maureen was a gracious and communicative host; her property is spotless, well-stocked and ideally situated. We really enjoyed the views, the beach, and the local attractions and restaurants. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and enjoy Plymouth.
It exceeded all our expectations! The house is charming and so thoughtfully equipped! Every need had been anticipated! The view was spectacular! A favorite memory is the nightly fire pit with the stars twinkling above and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore! Truly sublime! I'm also grateful our pup was made so welcome! This enchanting home nestled in the woods is only minutes from grocery, hardware, and pharmacy stores. We even found an amazing vegan bakery nearby! We highly recommend this vacation home. It is incredibly reasonably priced for all that it offers! The host was lovely and excelled at communication!
