The property was extremely peaceful, tidy amd cozy. Enjoyed our stay. The only thing we would have changed would be the mattress. It was too soft for our backs.
The directions indicated st rt 4, not 6 soit took me yime yo find property. Although cleaning was done by12 I was not allowed in until 4. Yes, I know it said 4n but there was no reason not to be more flexible. There were several problems,. I tried to find the original description and couldn't but I believe it said stove. No stove. Hot plate but the process of moving everything to use it and then back again was arduous. Grill was filthy and unuseable. I took pictures. end table size table outside not big enough to use. Second bed was a cot and there was not enough room to open it. Surface newly painted and cheerful. I spoke with owner who was very rude and told me not to speak with her neighbors. I hadn't. Other cottages better equiped. No pass for any beach. I first drove 60 miles to Yarmouth for beach. Found small beach at Great Pond. Pass was 50. for summer. Anne neither supplied it or told tenants about it. I've rented every summer and never had such an unhelpful and unpleasant experience. Also gave me lock box info at last moment. Emailed me 4 times about key which I left in clear sight on dresser.there was also a second lock which was dangerous. If it clicked when leaving you would not be able to get back in.
Growing up my family spent every summer camping at "the Woodlot" in Brewster (now part of the Brewster Conservation Trust). We loved the sand, surf, salt air, and time to be together - to be as unhurried as we wanted to be. I was delighted to purchase my second cottage with my daughter and her husband in Oct 2023 and be able to share it with our guests. We hope you are able to create many of the same wonderful memories of being on Cape Cod this summer!
What we enjoy the most is the accessibility to a variety of bay and ocean beaches within 10-15 minutes and others farther up the coasts. The Cape Cod Rail Trail has access points nearby, plus nature trails at Fort Hill and throughout the National Seashore.
Being newly renovated, the cottage offers a fresh, cozy and colorful interior to sleep and relax in. The cottage is in a cottage community started in the 1940's - the current owners of the cottages are friendly with quiet hours 10pm-8am.
