On 82 private acres, your ears will hear sounds of running water and songbirds as you sit on the porch, or when out for a walk. The giant hemlock trees that surround the cabin provide perfect shade for picnics, and a beautiful aesthetic during a snowfall. Bring your atv's for adventures you will never forget on the miles of dirt roads that surround the property.
We overall enjoyed our stay. The house is peaceful and quiet and just what we were looking for. Lots of good trout fishing spots nearby and you can find good food about 10-30 minutes away depending on what youâre looking for. The house is still being updated in some rooms which is stated in the details and didnât bother us. Itâs really a great cabin and you can get fresh spring water out back which we loved. The owner was easy to get ahold of and super friendly. Would definitely go back again.
Probably one of the most beautiful properties weâve ever stayed on. Plenty of creeks and woods to explore without leaving. Even though it rained the entire week, our 6 year old loved putting on boots and stomping in the water.Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby. Highly recommend the Little Red Diner for reasonable priced breakfast. There is about two miles of dirt road leading to the cabin. We had no problems in our SUV. Saw plenty of sedans go by that seemed fine.A larger fridge and more prep space in the kitchen would be my only request. There host was friendly and quick to respond. Check in and check out was incredibly easy. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
The house has recently been renovated and is gorgeous. The shower is amazing. Thereâs fresh spring water to drink out back and it was the best weâve ever tasted. Only issue was the drive to get to it, dirt road with hills and deep potholes. Would recommend a truck or suv, my sedan struggled a bit.
The property was as advertised. We were looking for a remote peaceful getaway and it was perfect. Plenty of nature to see while hiking on the property.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
There was no water when we arrived. My husband called the owner who suggested we could get the neighbor. My husband is quite handy so he got the water running in the house but had to stick his hand way down in some nasty stuff. Owner suggested we not drink the water coming into the cabin, The water just dribbled from the bathroom faucet. The kitchen faucet was loose and the spigot wouldn't move The refrigerator freezer was completely frozen solid. We defrosted it and found the ice cube trays. By the time we were leaving it was freezing over again. It did have a small chest freezer we were able to use. The air conditioning consisted of a small unit for the entire cabin, probably about 5500 BTU. It took awhile but we got the cabin cooled, No way it reached the bedroom we slept in, There were fans but they were filthy. The cabin itself was clean enough and it was comfortable. The half bath is an outhouse but does have electric, but shouldn't be advertised as a half bath. There appeared to be sewer waste seeping up into the yard so we had to watch the dogs carefully. There is a dead tree leaning towards the cabin.LNot worth the money. There was a WWII museum near by as well as Rock City Park. We enjoyed both.
