Les pygargues à tête blanche et les balbuzards qui planent au-dessus de votre tête sont un spectacle quotidien, alors que vous aimez la pêche et les sports nautiques sur le lac Marion. Détendez-vous au bord du lac pendant que vous faites griller votre prise du jour et regardez le coucher de soleil s’atténuer à la lumière des étoiles alors qu’il se rassemblait autour de notre foyer. FDFC 16th year fishing trip

The property was nice and had enough room for all 12 of us, 3 boats and all of the fishing equipment. Loved the long dock and the location that’s not far from the big water. We would stay here again when we come back to fish Lake Marion.

Great accommodations for our fishing trip with 2 families and two boats. Nice dock and area for kids to swim but the "beach" could use a refresh of additional sand with some maintenace to remove some broken boards on the beach. The water pump on the dock was not working to clean fish. Host responded indicating he needed to fix it. The A/C was excellent as well as the cleanliness of the house. Plenty of kitchen cooking amenities and refridgerator space. Water pressure was good. Washer and Dryer worked great as well. Definitely would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time. We ran into an issue and it was tended to immediately. Location is perfect for a quiet family reunion. Would absolutely stay again.

For what matters most we made some of our ABSOLUTE BEST memories here. The kids and grandkids had a blast. We ate well, slept well, and a week of Vaca with NO incidents is a WIN WIN. Upon arrival we noticed the pier needed some attention near the fish cleaning station, the sandy beach area was littered with cigarette butts and misc trash, and fire ants had taken over the board just before stepping on pier. With a nearby rake we fluffed sand and cleaned up trash prior to our family arriving. The faucets in the house bathrooms need some SERIOUS attention. With the size of family this house sleeps and extra trash can is needed. The closed in porch area has standing water in some areas and the interior of it is peeling away around the baseboards. At the end of the day this house served its purpose. It's a lake house. Lots of kids running in and out all day my goal in finding a house is safe and functional. It did that. A DEEP CLEANING would certainly help as well.

We had a great time staying at this house! It was very spacious with plenty of space for everyone. We were a little sad about not being able to swim, but we understand that the lake itself has so much grass everywhere right now. We would definitely love to stay there again!

Annual fishing trip!

We have stayed in this house three times over the past few years and as always it has been great! 10 people every one has their own bed, kitchen/ living area accommodate’s everyone with ease. The dock had ample space to tie up 5 bass boat’s, everything thing works like it should. Great place for our fishing group!

Weather was perfect!

We enjoyed this stay very much! We had 8 adults, 6 under 6 years old, and two dogs. The small yard and beach area was well used and we loved making memories! :)

Great 4 day weekend getaway!

Very well maintained home, nicely stocked kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, utensils etc. Home was very clean and no odors, comfy beds & a quiet, peaceful neighborhood! The kids loved playing with the foosball table and Lincoln Logs lol We enjoyed our 4 day weekend getaway! It was just what we needed Thank you for sharing your home with us. ☺️

Fun lake house with private boat ramp and beach access

This was a great place to stay for people looking to have fun in the water! We thoroughly enjoyed the boat ramp, private dock, and sandy beach! The glassed-in patio was also a nice touch, as we used this space often for meals and relaxing together. This fun retro-decorated house offers multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, making it the perfect for a multi-family getaway. Some minor drawbacks included the lack of screen doors on the patio (mainly this was an inconvenience in the evenings, when it got a little buggy outside), some dresser drawers were difficult to open or broken, and the downstairs toilet make a gurgling sound every so often - we never had any septic issues but it sounded like that might be on the near horizon. The price was great for the amount of space indoors and especially for the water access on Lake Marion. Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodations and plan to return for another stay in the future!

The house & dock need work

I've thought for days about whether or not I would write a review. I wish I had read what I'm about to write before booking my trip, so I decided to go ahead & give my review: Pros *Boat ramp & dock on the property, so it was convenient for us *The small sandy beach area is a nice touch *Lots of bedrooms & beds *Quiet neighborhood & quiet part of Lake Marion Cons *There were roaches in the kitchen...on the countertops, in the drawers & in the cabinets. We spent a lot of time killing roaches & washing everything right before using it. *There are fire ants in the yard. You will be eaten up by them. Use white vinegar to dull the sting. *Take a griddle with you to cook breakfast foods. The pans are not good for large groups who are all hungry! *There is no lid for the trash can, which sits out in the open. That seemed very strange to me. Get a lid. *Cell phone service SUCKS. Luckily there is a land line in the house. *There is only ONE mid sized tv in the house. Prepare everyone that they will have to share...or take an extra one for the kids! *The house, furniture & furnishings are old & outdated. If you think someone damaged something, chances are they didn't. *The sunroom/porch is unbearably hot. No a/c. No ceiling fans. No screens on the sliding glass doors. *There is only ONE door to get out of the house...and that is through the sweltering hot porch. *The MBR (upstairs) is weird. The sink, toilet & tub/shower combo are all just placed in the room...with carpet. NO privacy at all. And you step out of the tub onto carpet. Also, the bed is so soft, we sank down into it & had back aches the entire time we were there. *If you take a pet, they are not allowed on the carpet. (Totally understandable) So take his/her bed, so they're not sleeping on the tile floor. *The dock boards are old & you WILL get splinters. Take tweezers with you & always wear shoes. The screws on the boards are coming up, so if you are wearing pants, they will catch on the screws. *The lake water is about 4' below the dock. If you bring your boat, prepare to jump onto it from the dock. An attached floating dock would be wonderful...as would new decking boards. *Take all the food you think you will need, as a real grocery store is 25 minutes away. And put everything in plastic tubs with lids, as there are roaches. If you prepare for everything above, & know what you'll encounter, you should have a great time. We enjoyed our stay, despite everything above

A TRUE Lake House

We had such a good time here--it is a true lake house. There was plenty of parking--8 cars and 16 people. The beach was wonderful for the kids and adults, they could swim on beach or off the dock with no problem. There was plenty of room for 2 boats. The yard was big enough to play volleyball and other outside activities. The closed in porch was perfect. We had 2 dogs and they also loved the yard and porch!! The inside was clean, plenty of beds and room for all. There were 2 refrigerators and that also came in handy! It was a very fun and relaxing time!

We have enjoyed this area for the last 40 years. You can fish right off the dock or launch your boat from our private ramp and fish one of the many secluded undeveloped coves nearby .

The sheltered creeks and coves can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. It's a short run by boat into the main lake with full access to the entire Santee Cooper lake system.
