What a quaint well stocked cottage! The owner did a great job making the space homey and welcoming. The cottage was very clean. The owner was very responsive to solve the dampness from all the rain with a dehumidifier in the house. We were very pleased with our stay.
Cutest little cottage ever! Had a great stay with my adult children and my grandchildren. All was as presented, a wonderful, smooth stay in a most unique location.
This property was quaint, quiet and cozy. Just what we needed for our family of 4. The house was clean and comfortable. Having it stocked w bath towels, toiletries, and bed linens was nice. The restaurant just up the street was convenient and tasty! Wasnât a big fan of the parking/streets in the neighborhood, it was a bit confusing but the host alerted us to that prior to our arrival.
There is a very strong smell of mold and mildew at this property even with the humidifier running the entire time on full blast. One of us experienced sinus issues and we were considering leaving after one night and we did.
The cottage is cute and comfortable. We were impressed that it was so clean and well appointed. The neighborhood is unique and quaint. No washer or dryer; so if you are staying long, take that into consideration. Check-in was a breeze and Charity was very responsive.
We recommend the Porch & Pantry right in Mt. Gretna for breakfast; and the Mount Gretna Hideaway for dinner. We had delicious meals there. The lake has swimming, picnicking, kayaking, and fishing. The cottage is close to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire (4 miles) and Hershey Park (13 miles).
We highly recommend the Storybook Cottage for anyone looking to get away to a quiet, serene setting; but still be close to the major attractions of central Pennsylvania.
