The Columbus Cape Cod Cottage | 1st Floor Beds!
The Columbus Cape Cod Cottage has been professionally designed and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Be our guest and enjoy:
â A fully-stocked and comfortable home - the owners stay here every few months to visit family and are always making upgrades!
â Easy parking: driveway for 2 vehicles (stacked) and free on-street parking. The driveway runs across the property line with the neighbors - extra large or wide vehicles may need to park on the street.
â Sleeps 8-10 guests! Three bedrooms: king + queen + queen, plus a trundle bed in the loft (two twins), and a sleeper sofa.
â Convenient location in central Columbus; just 2 minutes from the 1-71 exit; easy access to Ohio State Fairgrounds (6-min drive), Ohio State University (9-min drive), and CMH airport (17-min drive).
This is a 2-story cape code style house with a welcoming floor plan.
â You'll arrive and park in the driveway on the side of the home. Two vehicles can park in the driveway (stacked) and the on-street parking is also FREE!. The driveway runs across the property line with the neighbors - extra large or wide vehicles may need to park on the street.
â First floor: you'll enter into a comfortable living room. Past the living room, enjoy the updated kitchen, which has a fold-out dining table that can seat 6-8 guests (this takes up most of the floor space in the kitchen when opened). The hallway leads to two bedrooms featuring luxurious gel memory foam mattresses, with a full bathroom in the hallway between the rooms. Both first floor bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds, smartly designed closets, dressers, and hangers. Through the kitchen, enjoy our favorite room in the house - the fully enclosed summer porch! The summer porch is a delightful spot to relax and enjoy the breeze in the evenings - and you may even catch a glimpse of a hummingbird!
â Kitchen: enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with everything you should need for basic cooking, and more, including a food processor, 4-slice toaster, Keurig coffee with a few pods provided to get you started!
â Up the stairs, you'll find the loft space (an office area and a trundle bed with two twin beds) and another bedroom with a King size bed.
â Outside, enjoy the private fenced back yard, outdoor seating (with umbrella), deck, grill, and fire pit with Adirondack chairs for four.
Enjoy the convenience of a free EV charger along the driveway - Level 2, 32-Amp charger.
â The laundry room is in the basement, which also includes a bonus room (currently unfurnished - but updates are coming soon!).
Sleeping arrangements:
First floor: Queen bedroom, Queen bedroom, sleeper sofa (fold-out). Bedding for the sleeper sofa is in the gray bench in the bedroom.
Second floor: Trundle bed (two twins) in the loft area, and the King bedroom.
Family amenities are also available - Portable Crib (pack-and-play) with mattress (bring your own sheets), high chair, and children's dinnerware.
We do ask for assistance from our guests in moving the trash and recycling bins to/from the curb behind the house on the pickup days. We'll provide reminder messages and we'll be available to help anyone with physical limitations if needed.
Lawn care and grass mowing will be done weekly during the growing season. Our landscaper will start in the front yard, so you'll be able to hear when he's there. He will have a code for the gate lock to get into the back yard. For our guests with dogs - please note - the neighbors have dogs (on the other side of the wood privacy fence). Their dogs may bark when they hear dogs in our yard. We ask that you not leave dogs in the yard unattended - and of course - please pick up after them!
