We had a fantastic stay at Victorian Secret. A quaint old house with lots of character! Furniture is all beautiful antiques but bathrooms, kitchen, beds, and linens are all new and updated. Very clean and fresh - not musty at all like you might expect from an old house. Host is very helpful and communicative when needed.
Victorian Secret is an adorable house in a great location. The interior of the house is beautifully decorated with period decor! The owner was so attentive and helpful during our stay. The street it is on is just lovely to walk. I could walk downtown in minutes and enjoy Southern Pecan coffee or walk a little further and get on the Old Creek Trail that joins up with the rails to trails! The town has 750 buildings on the historic registry so walking around the town is absolutely fascinating and the people so friendly. We kayaked Lake Eufuala, visited nearby Providence Canyon State Park, walked the many nature trails, and toured the Shorter Mansion! You will not be disappointed with Victorian Secret!
Loved my stay at this house. It was great to relax on the screened porch after a day in of touring historical homes and shopping.
Would definitely stay here again.
There wasnât enough space at home for all our family members attending a family wedding so this was perfect! Wr loved being within walking distance of downtown. The spaciousness and cleanliness of this beautiful cottage was AMAZING! The owner went OUT OF HER WAY to ensure the stay was perfect and was quick to respond and change our reservation dates. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
I had the pleasure of staying at this charming VRBO cottage in Eufaula, Alabama for a wedding at the breathtaking Eufaula Baptist Church and the beautiful Shorter Mansion âand I couldnât have asked for a better home base! From the moment I walked in, the cottage felt like a warm hug. It was impeccably clean, thoughtfully decorated, and had a cozy, homey feel that made it hard to leave. Every room showed the hostâs wonderful tasteâadorable touches, stylish furnishings, and just the right blend of comfort and charm. The host was incredibly hospitable and responsive to messages, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Itâs clear Joanie put a lot of care into creating a welcoming space for their guests.I honestly missed the cottage as soon as I left. Iâm already looking for an excuse to return to Eufaula just so I can stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the areaâitâs a true gem!
This lovely cottage was beautifully furnished (and, all furniture was comfortable); immaculately clean; well stocked with everything needed; quiet (only noise I heard were birds chirping and church bells while sitting on the porch); and the location was perfect (minutes from downtown Eufaula. The hostess made sure we had a perfect stayâŠshe was wonderful. I will return!
Joanieâs place was amazing! Her lovely Victorian was clean, very comfortable and location was great. Had everything we could need and more. The neighborhood was beautiful. Joanie was so responsive and helpful during and before our stay. I highly recommend staying here, you will not regret it. Thank you for a wonderful stay Joanie Iâll definitely be booking again!
The home was warm, welcoming and had so much charm. Joanie (the host) was easy to get in touch with about questions and was very helpful. This location was also an easy drive between places like Providence Canyon and Plains GA.
Looking forward to our next trip to Eufaula once the Bluff City Inn is renovated!
I live in East Tennessee, and I purchased this home for a future retirement home. Until I retire, I wanted to share my home, so others could enjoy it .
The home is just blocks from historic Eufaula town center . It is situated on a tree lined boulevard, that allows guests to walk along the historic homes in the area .
I have tried to furnish the home in period antiques to accent the 1900s home ..giving guest a different experience ,than most Air BnBs . The home is small but cozy .
