In town for Dr appointment. Great stay. Good location. Nicely appointed. Old neighborhood, but quiet - except occassional barking dog and traffic on main road a few blocks away. Typical for most neighborhoods. Will definitely stay again.
My husband and I were in Bham for a wedding and had to bring our 17 year old dog. It was the perfect location and place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.
Loved this property! What a spacious home, loved the sitting room in front and the back (sunken) living room that was spacious and cozy, backing up to a huge backyard. Located off a quiet, residential street, this is just what my family needed when passing through on a long road trip. Would highly recommend this host (seamless communication) and certainly this home
This home has some very special touches, such as a bidet toilet, ready made ice, washer and dryer, dishwasher, nice outdoor area, pet friendly and all the amenities. The beds were comfortable, there were several areas to just relax and chill. The home had a very modern/simple/clean feel. It was close to lots of shopping and dining and the neighborhood was quaint! Would highly recommend!!
Great location. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Price definitely reasonable for accommodations. Beds were comfortable. Great space if you were to bring your pet. The hosts provided everything you would need to be comfortable. The cleaning lady left her phone number for any issues/concerns. There were fresh flowers in the home on arrival. Host is very receptive and responds quickly:) My critique includes the followingâŠ.. we found 2 roaches and multiple spiders in the home (overall the home felt older but clean in spite of the bugs) and the neighbors dog is an outside dog that barks throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper this would probably not be the place for you. The dog does not bark all night but when he is on the side of his house and barks it sounds like he is 10 feet away. He woke me up multiple times throughout my stay.
10 on value. Cost compared to location and all of the factors for our trip this time. Iâd give the house a 6 at best. Location is great. Neighborhood is old. But thatâs how you get good value. It is an old house and there are some things that should be better. But the house was clean. Except the tile floor which has that old slippery restaurant feeling all the time. Being an older house it has quirks like no electric for a blow dryer in the bath. My wife griped about that all weekend. But super location. Close to great restaurants, and Barber Motorsports park. It could use a king bed but may not fit the room. Weird sitting areas except for the family room. Good WiFi tv etc. ok kitchen and utensils not great. Lastly the driveway is busted. Not a problem for most but the hole stops you if youâre not aware to go around it.
Rented the place for the weekend to move our daughter out of Stanford University was a great landing zone fenced in backyard for the dogs is cozy and quiet street.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights, we come to Birmingham every year to see friends. This year we wanted something dog friendly so we didn't have to leave our dog at home. This place was great, super quiet neighborhood and plenty of space. The "den" was especially cozy, and the backyard is very big. The one bad thing was the humidity. I know it's super humid in Alabama, but I've never had it be so humid inside. Even with the AC running the whole stay, I would sweat off my makeup before we could get out the door. It might seem silly but it made it super uncomfortable for a large portion of the day. Otherwise everything was perfect.
