great place to stay. the parking in back is pretty tight. otherwise great place for the price. we were pretty close to many attractions. would definitely come back
There are many documents they want you to sign outside of vrbo. Booking information outside of Vrbo is against the vrbo policy. Unless you have a massive group, just do a hotel this process is very convoluted.
This 1st story is in a great location towards the western edge of downtown. All that means is that itâs more quiet with less foot traffic but still close to everything. The property didnât lack for anything and while I give it a 5 star review it felt more like a 3 star location. The interior finishes and furniture while serviceable felt cheap. The wood flooring and showers were all done on the cheap. So donât expect 5 star accommodations but for the price and location itâs a 5 star deal. Will stay again and recommend others do so too.
This place has plenty of space, a wonderful kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Perfect for big families or friend groups. We loved visiting Chicago, and this place had free parking, and amazing access to public transportation. It also very close to a couple convenience stores, places to eat, and Trader Joeâs and Whole Foods. Next time we probably wound NOT rent a car because the public transportation is incredibly close and easy to navigate, we hardly used our car. We went to 2 concerts at Wrigley Field, toured the Magnificent Mile, Ice cream Museum, Swam in the lake, and enjoyed all of Millennial Park! Our entire group with kids ages. 7-15 and all had a great time!
Stay was great. Location was really close to areas we wanted to be. Great neighborhood. It's a little far if you want to see museums. My only comment would be, not use the "included" parking if you have a a larger SUV. Very tight to get into those parking spots. Use the app. SPOTHERO (per the recommendation of the VROB host) There is a parking lot right across the street that charges the $10-15 per night. It was worth it
I stayed with six friends for a weekend in Chicago - we were planning to attend a show at the House of Blues, which was in perfect walking distance. The property was perfect for our needs - spacious, room for hanging out and for sleeping, and two bathrooms. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Parking was also affordable and easy - the provided parking space was really small, as others have mentioned, but nearby and safe. Two minor complaints: I wasn't able to get my questions about check-in answered beforehand, but the host was very responsive once we were there. There also weren't any pots or pans for cooking, but since we were traveling from elsewhere in the Midwest we just brought our own. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend and I highly recommend to anyone considering a visit! Thanks for sharing your space with us.
This unit is as pictured and was clean upon arrival. Itâs across from a late night club and train so if youâre in the market for a quiet location, not ideal. But if you want a place to get around the city, it works well. Dan has a lot of extra paperwork and links in messages that are not hyperlinked and/or can be copied, so it took a lot of my time to get this done and I was informed 24 hours before I arrived something wasnât signed and I wouldnât be allowed in until done-yet he already gladly accepted by money. Wasnât my worst VRBO experience and wasnât by best.
This is a great value for a group just looking for a touch pad in a great Chicago neighborhood. Perfect for about 6-8 ppl, we were pleased with the comfortability and cleanliness of the place as well as the amenities provided by the host. Would have loved more blankets/pillows/towels on hand for a three day stay but we made do as there is in unit laundry. Parking provided is amazing and the public lot next door was great to have while we waited for the 4pm check in.
The unit was in a very convenient location, a couple of blocks from the brown line. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the master bedroom layout was awkward, there are no nightstands which made it difficult to charge your phone or have a glass a water at bedside etc.
There was a party that lasted until 5:00 AM one night which made for a sleepless night.
We're so happy we chose to stay here as a family! The location has been perfect for us - we can easily get to the city center within minutes using the nearby bus and train routes. Our kids love being able to walk to the nearby CVS, Aldi, restaurants, and bars with us. The neighborhood feels really safe and quiet, which is a big priority for us. We've also appreciated the convenience of the bike-sharing station right outside our door - it's been a great way for us to explore the area together. The apartment is spacious and clean, with everything we need for a comfortable stay. And, as a bonus, we have private parking, which has been really useful for our day trips out of the city. We highly recommend this place to other families!
