The place was overall tidy and we were very comfortable. The place is however in need of a deep clean as itâs older and in New Orleans it probably accumulates dust easily. We didnât cook much but we noticed the kitchen had bare minimum cooking tools. I actually bought a pot holder because i couldnât find one. The location was great the owner is very kind. He recommended great places. We didnât receive check out task or instructions so we just picked up trash and did what we assumed was necessary prior to leaving. I had a great time with my boyfriend. I think itâs perfect for couples but there is no actual door to the room so itâs more a 2 person stay.
Not great in general. Check in time is 4pm, at 530 pm Iâm texting trying to get information on how to get in. Says there is a pool and there is, just not sure how to get to it. Blocked off courtyard with lights that stay on 24 hours, was like sleeping with 1000 night lights on. Anytime you use bathroom sink, you have to plunge it. Left at 830 and no check out information. I definitely would not recommend it
Pros:* Great location in the French Quarter, walkable to the Joy, Orpheum, Civic.* Great pool to cool down in on hot days.* Functional Air Conditioning for the really hot daysCons:* The couch in the living room is a tight squeeze for sleeping if you're 6'0 or taller* Check-in information isn't shared until the day you check in* WiFi is patchy and slow
Just as described. Owner/ manager was prompt and polite in response.
Nice walking distance of 5 min to Bourbon St. and 10 min to Jackson Square. Street parking was difficult to find. Private (shared) patio and pool were a nice plus. Clean. Comfortable bed. Nice rain shower.
When I reserved this apartment there were no reviews. At some point I messaged the host to ask what the address was because if you dive deep into this listing, you will find two different addresses. He said he would post it 30 days prior to my arrival. Ok! Fair enough, however, when he posted it, it was still the wrong address and on the day of my arrival I had to contact him for the check-in information. It is two blocks from Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. It is on the ground floor. AC works and there is hot water. It is advertised as "one queen bed and a large twin sofa bed" It does NOT have a sofa "bed" The black sofa you can barely make out it the photos on VRBO is not the one in the apartment. It is a couch that you are sleeping on not a bed/sofa bed. It does not pull out to make a bed, it is NOT comfortable, it is NOT as advertised. There is a smell in the apartment, it has no shower curtain and the shower head is clogged with hard water so water sprays on the floor, no towel racks (one towel hook), no toilet paper holder, and the bathroom sink doesnât drain well. No working remote control (or pull chains) to turn off the ceiling fan in the living room, rendering the light in the living room useless (it was too cold at nights to use a fan so couldnât use the light). There is peeling paint on the walls and bathroom floor and it has painted concrete floors (not carpet, tile or wood flooring) so it is cold in there. This could be a very cute place with some TLC.
The place was very convenient to everything. There wasnât a blow dryer, but the property owner responded very quickly to that. The coffee pot did not work and the pool was unusable that shouldâve been not part of the description unless itâs usable.
