COMPLETE SCAM!!Upon entering the property from the carport door, as directed,I saw that the FRONT DOOR had large cracks in it in which you could very plainly see sunlight coming in.As this is in a suburb of Atlanta and doesn't give the safest vibes,I was immediately alarmed that the location did not feel very safe.My family and I decided (within 30 minutes of arrival) that we did not feel safe staying in a house in which the front door was obviously not secure.I immediately located other accommodations and messaged the owner on VRBO to tell them our issue and let them know that we would not be staying at the location and I would be seeking a refund. He then called me to find out what had taken place and when I told him the issue, he responded with "Oh yes. That happened last night and was caused by the change in weather. It was seen by our housekeeper this morning and I didn't want to cancel on you at the last minute." IF that were true,I should have been notified and allowed to make that decision myself.He offered me half price,which I declined. He then said he would call me back after talking to VRBO.He didn't.When I contacted VRBO myself that night,per their dispute rules,they refused to do anything "because the lock still worked." They then connected us to him in a 3 way conversation and he again offered me half of my refund but ONLY if I didn't leave a review.I don't take HUSH money and would rather warn others of the shady business he and VRBO are doing to steal money.
