We chose this property to be close to family. The house was run down, the bathrooms were gross, couches and chairs were very old and appeared to have stains on them. Playboy magazines on the walls as decorations. Most of the lightbulbs were burnt out. I will say the host did respond quickly when we couldnât find enough towels for our party of 6 and she did offer to send a new house cleaner to take out the garbage and the rotting items that were left in the fridge. The beds appeared clean so we stayed but I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. It feels like the house was purchased to be a VRBO but with no thought of updating it. The neighborhood was fine.
When we arrived and walked in the home it was 85 degrees inside and had a terrible smell. After walking through the unit we found a pile of wet garbage in the garage. This is where the smell was coming from. There were maggots all in the trash. There was urine left in one of the toilets. There were towels left unwashed in the washing machine. The unit was obviously poorly cleaned and needs a lot of attention to it. Bathroom fixtures not attached. Doors wonât properly open and close. Furniture in need of repairs. Reached out to owner and they offered nothing for this embarrassment of a property other than sending someone to clean the garage after we had already been there for half our stay. I was totally embarrassed having my family come and stay here from out of state.
