À propos de cet hébergement
NEW! Hey Frame: Modern A-frame Waterfront Cabin on Lake Hartwell, Georgia
Featured in AJC as one of Georgia's top rentals! We designed our lakefront A-frame cabin to provide the perfect getaway, and we love sharing our home with you. Wake up to sunrises over the lake while you sip coffee on the large deck or drink hot cocoa by the fire pit. Our modern kitchen also begs to be cooked in. In warmer months, enjoy swimming, kayaking, or paddle boarding off the private dock. Whether you want to relax or work on spreadsheets, you'll enjoy a beautiful view while doing so.
Now booking through summer 2024! Find us on IG at @heyframehouse for booking updates (cancellations and new openings), video walkthroughs, appliance "how-to's", and favorite local spots. The interior wood stove will be available for use from November 2023 through February 2024. The wood stove is not available for use outside of that time frame.
This lake-front getaway was newly built for you to reminisce in A-frame charm in a modern way. Whether you want to cook a favorite meal, roast marshmallows by the fire pit, or enjoy kayaking and paddle-boarding on the water, this home has it all. Curated with a mix of new and vintage, the space was designed to function for couples or groups. Located less than 10 minutes off the highway, the property is quite convenient to access while still enjoying the peacefulness of the lake.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a chef in mind. Enjoy a thick quartz waterfall island and custom cabinets stocked with cookware, utensils, spices, and oils. Multiple choices for making coffee are available (Keurig duo, Chemex pour-over system, and French press) with locally-roasted beans provided for your stay. For non-coffee lovers, enjoy a variety of teas and a teapot.
There are three bedrooms with a queen bed in each. Each bed is super comfortable with crisp cotton sheets and down-free bedding for those with allergies. The bedrooms each have hanging space, window coverings (for vertical windows), and lamps for reading at night. While there are blackout curtains in the two downstairs bedrooms, each room has at least one uncovered skylight for welcoming sunshine; you might want to bring an eye mask if you are sensitive to light.
The master bedroom is located upstairs with a private bathroom and is optimal for viewing stars on a clear night through the four skylights. Early risers can enjoy coffee on the second-floor balcony while watching the deer (and sometimes, a fox!). The master bedroom also features a loft area that makes a cozy reading nook. Please use caution while gaining access to the loft via the ladder and climb at your own risk. Just outside the master bedroom is a landing area with a vintage chair made for relaxing and enjoying a book while looking out the double-story windows.
The largest bedroom on the main level has a desk and chair for a dedicated workspace. Our wifi fully supports working from home and streaming services (see last photo for speed test results). We've had multiple video calls going while streaming video without any issues.
The living room features multiple seating options to enjoy the beautiful view through a large wall of windows. There are plenty of books, games, and puzzles for optimal bonding. The house has electric heating and cooling, and the wood stove is available for experienced guests from Dec-Feb. We have a 65” smartTV, so bring your Netflix and Hulu long-ins (we do not have cable). Off the main living area is a large balcony with a dining area and a Weber propane grill for BBQs. We even have a large standing umbrella to keep the sun out while you dine outdoors.
From the deck, walk down to the outdoor fire pit and enjoy some s'mores. We even have extendable skewers for roasting marshmallows. There is plenty of wood on the property for the fire pit. Head down the private dock for water activities and picnics. We have a tandem kayak (that can be converted to a single) and two paddleboards available for exploring the lake; please understand we provide these for guests as "extras" and they are to be used at your own risk - we cannot guarantee that they will be available or functional during your stay, but we promise we do our best to replace or fix anything as soon as we can. We have plenty of space on the side of our dock to tie up a boat, so bring your own or head to Harborlight Marina where you can rent boats and even keep them overnight (they have ~16 boats in their fleet to choose from and are close by!).
The walk down to the dock is very steep, so please use caution. While we do have neighbors close by, the home feels very private.
Please know that we are located in the country by a lake. We use a pest control service in and around the home and dock, but you are still likely to see a few insects or other living beings from Mother Nature. We ask that you do your best to keep outside doors closed when not actively walking through to help prevent any bugs from getting inside.
Per our local requirements, all guests must agree to a Short Term Rental Agreement and provide requested information to receive check-in instructions. This information is required by our county bylaws and insurance in case of an emergency. The information requested includes the primary guest full name, primary guest address, and full names of all guests. This will be communicated via messaging once a booking request is received. Not providing this information before check-in time will result in cancellation without refund as we are legally not allowed to rent the cabin without it.
We will not accept alteration requests to change dates or shorten a stay. We stick to our cancellation policy and recommend purchasing travel insurance for your stay should something come up.
We ask that you treat this home as you would your own, so please use caution and limit eating or drinking outside the kitchen and dining area. The house is professionally cleaned prior to each guest's arrival. When you leave, do your best to leave the property in the same condition as when you arrived (place décor back in proper positions via listing photos if you moved things around). If something is obviously soiled and/or broken upon your arrival, please alert us immediately (within 24 hours) so we will know you were not responsible. Otherwise, you will be held accountable. If you damage or break anything in or around the house, please let us know AS SOON AS this occurs – not at check out – so we can arrange for it to be fixed as soon as you leave. Please do not use bleach or other harsh cleaners on bathroom tile or kitchen countertops (these can damage the house and the septic system). If there has been an accident, please let us know and we can advise how to properly clean.
WOOD BURNING STOVE: The wood-burning stove is only available for use December through February, but the outdoor firepit is available year-round. Please check local weather to ensure fire risks are not high that day. Our wood stove is very unique and requires extra steps to use properly - all of which are provided via instructions. Do not use the wood stove unless you are comfortable doing so and contact us with any questions or concerns.
FIRE PIT: Do not ever leave the fire unattended, especially before calling it a night. Please ensure to use the outside hose to douse fire with water once you are finished. The hose is under the back deck (the valve to turn the water on resides on the North-facing side of the home). Do not use excessive amounts of the chopped (stacked) wood for the firepit – there are many sticks, twigs, and logs on the property you can burn instead.
DOCK: Understand that use of the dock and water amenities is at your own risk. If you lose or damage any of these items (to include the paddles), please let us know IMMEDIATELY so we can get a replacement. We understand things happen, but if you don’t let us know, the next guests are set up for disappointment. We don’t want that to happen to you!
Quiet time is 9pm to 8am. If the sheriff is called due to a noise complaint, your entire security deposit will be forfeited. Please refrain from loud noises and anything else that might disturb and annoy the neighbors (drumming, loud music, howling at the moon and stars, etc.). Sound travels easily, especially across water.
PLEASE ONLY BRING CHILDREN (OF ANY AGE) AT YOUR OWN RISK. Our home is in no way child proof, and there are many hazards unsafe for children. We do not have cribs or any child-friendly amenities available. If any of our furniture is soiled from "an accident," please alert us right away so we can advise how to clean. If any furniture does not come clean with effort, you will be held financially responsible.
If you would like to use the property for a commercial photo or video shoot (e.g., promote products or businesses), please reach out prior to booking. No for-profit photo or video shoots without prior approval.
To ensure the safety of our property, we have 3 (three) exterior security cameras: one Ring doorbell camera facing the driveway, one facing the fire pit, and one overlooking the back door/deck.
By booking our listing, you agree to these terms and all other house rules. Please be respectful as this place is very special to us. We have styled the cabin with many personal items for your enjoyment including rare and antique items which we have collected over the years and would be very difficult to replace. Please keep our cabin a healing sanctuary by respecting the space and taking NOTHING with you from the cabin other than your personal belongings and any gift we may leave. It will be obvious what is yours to keep.
We know this is a lot to read, but we appreciate your willingness to do so (we only do it because our lawyer says we have to). The most important thing to us is that you enjoy your stay at Hey Frame House, and we hope you choose to stay again in the future!
