James Island Airstream- Between Downtown & Folly Beach. Creekside Glamping!

Our recently renovated vintage 1976 Airstream Land Yacht is a cozy Glamper that has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. Nestled next to our creek, you'll see water fowl galore while sipping your morning coffee in our outdoor seating area. Just 15 minutes to Folly Beach & 6 minutes to Downtown Charleston, we are in an ideal location for a fun Charleston getaway.

This cozy airstream can sleep four, but really is best for just two adults and two children, or two adults.

The entire airstream is for your use, as well as the outside sitting area on the front deck. The rest of the backyard is shared with our other guests. Please enjoy the picnic table, hot tub, grill and fire pit!

The Airstream is equipped with an AC unit to keep you cool in the summer, and a heater to keep you warm in the winter.

We live locally if you need anything or have any questions.

The cleaning fee is based on a "courteous guest". Any excessive dirtiness or neglect will accrue an additional $95 fee

Loved staying here, super close to downtown Charleston. Host were great and were extremely easy to communicate with probably the best experience with a host a ever. Highly recommend and I loved the chickens.

I had such a great stay in this charming Airstream on James Island! Sarah was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and clearly thoughtful about every detail of the experience.I was in the area visiting family, and this ended up being the perfect little retreat. It truly felt like a peaceful escape, not like you’re right in the middle of a busy Charleston area, thanks to the beautiful, natural surroundings.I especially loved the campfire and hot tub—both were such a relaxing bonus at the end of the day. The kayaks are an awesome touch as well, even though we didn’t get a chance to use them this time.One of my favorite parts was just sitting with my coffee in the morning, watching the geese glide by on the water. It was quiet, scenic, and exactly what I needed.Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something unique, cozy, and just a little removed from the hustle while still being close to everything.

The hot tub was super gross and unable to be used. The actual Airstream was cute and really nicely appointed, but I feel like if you list something as an amenity on the property, it should be available for use.

I'm so sorry the hot tub wasn't in working order. We strive to maintain it well, and I was unaware that it was not ok. I will get that corrected quickly, and I apologize for the inconvenience. If you are ever staying again, and have an issue, please notify me during your stay so I can correct it for you to enjoy! I would love the opportunity to do that as we strive to make all our guests' experiences excellent.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in the airstream. Every morning we’d wake to baby geese and their mother coming into the yard from the water and was so cool to see.Sarah is extremely attentive, we felt very taken care of, while being left to experience the airstream ourselves.We stayed for 3 nights, and had to empty the gray water tank at the end of day two. Sarah gave great instructions, and it was incredibly simple and kind of fun to have a true RV-lite weekend.Parking is very generous, the wifi is great, and the yard was full of enjoyable things to do while we weren’t around town. I wouldn’t enjoy it as much if the airstream had more than the two of us. It is a large airstream, but still pretty tight. It was all part of the experience for us. We ended up using some of the linens on the twin beds on the larger bed. Having another sheet would’ve been nice but we definitely made it work well for us.Thanks again, Pursells, for providing an amazing place to stay during our short trip to Charleston.

Place was clean and absolutely adorable! I absolutely loved the chickens in the back yard, and the fact that you left some of the fresh eggs to use in the fridge. Thank you so so much!

Short version: 1. On our first night there, the roof vents leaked and we were unable to set up and use the large bed because of all the rain coming in. We slept horribly. 2. The next day, our toddler (who is a cancer patient and has a port) spiked a fever and we had to take him to the ER (because of the port). There was a flash flood warning during this time, and because of the creek right behind the camper rising, and not knowing if it would still be leaking and/or flooded, we decided to end our stay 2 nights early. 3. The key was old and broke off in the lock when my husband unlocked the door to get our belongings. 4. Not only did the host have to be told by Vrbo to refund us for the nights we didn’t stay, but she charged us 462 to fix the lock.We were so excited about the airstream, and tried our best to make it work, even after the stress and exhaustion of the first night. While the host was friendly in what she wrote, she was ultimately unhelpful and not understanding at all. This experience made an already stressful trip so much more difficult, and was such a disappointment.**whole review is available in the first photo - I went over the character limit….unfortunately had a lot to explain.

Thanks for the review. 1) I’m sorry you were not able to figure out how to twist the vents to close them. Most guests have figured this out and had no issue, but I’ve made a note in my house manual for future guests. 2) Flash flooding warnings are common in this area this time of year. While they should be taken seriously, the Airstream was never at threat of being flooded. VRBO’s policy does not refund due to warnings like this, so that is why I told you to refer to them for a refund. 3) Your husband broke our key in the lock, which required that we hire a locksmith to drill out the lock and replace the deadbolt so that future guests could have a secure stay. Anytime a guest damages property, they are obligated to pay for the repair per VRBO’s policy and our house manual. The bill from the locksmith was $462, and that is what was passed on to you. 4) VRBO refunded you $44 due to your complaints about the vent you couldn’t close and the bathroom door you thought was broken, but was not. I seek to provide a great, comfortable, safe experience for all my guests, and have a high rating on VRBO. I’m sorry your stay did not meet your expectations.

Girls Trip Annual Vacation

We had a fabulous time on our very first ‘glamping’ trip! The airstream was clean, and we enjoyed the candy treats, popcorn and fresh farm eggs left for us! It was the perfect location to enjoy downtown Charleston, as well as nearby islands and beach towns! The owners were great in their communication with us before, during and after our stay! Amazing place to stay. Had a retro-nostalgia vibe from the airstream to the property being compared to a homestead, with chickens (no rooster) and big garden. The host even had fresh eggs in the fridge! Fire pit was lovely by the water at night. Other renters staying in the guest house and main house never made noises and you wouldn’t have even known there were other people. You could cook anything you wanted, the airstream has a very nice dual use toaster oven that can bake, toast, air fry, etc. We had a full breakfast every morning with bacon, eggs, and pancakes on the patio. We would stay here again, we enjoyed all of it.

What A Sweet Experience!

Short trip to the beach for granddaughters birthday, obsessed with Outerbanks. The Airstream was comfortable, clean and stocked. They enjoyed the hot tub as well. Highly recommend!

Cozy Airstream

This Airstream was an adorable stay along the river and close to restaurants. The backyard was beautiful, and the hot tub was a great bonus. I had a lot of fun petting the cat and dogs, making it an overall wonderful experience.

First stay in airstream

It was our first stay in an airstream. Property was clean and as-described. We enjoyed exploring Charleston and the surrounding area and property location was convenient to drive to various points of interest. We enjoyed the fresh eggs from the chickens on the property. Don't think we will stay in an airstream again, but that's just our personal preference.

Perfect Spot

Cozy stay for our family. Our teen daughter enjoyed her own space at the back of airstream to read and see some creek views in the morning. My husband and I loved our coffee with some scenic views of wood ducks floating in back. This space was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our quick trip. It is perfectly located to downtown and Folly. Would definitely recommend!

Super fun basecamp

We loved staying in this Airstream! Keep in mind that this is a camper, so taller or larger people may not be as comfortable. The chickens in the yard were really great, they also have good eggs! The owners were also very friendly while also giving us privacy!

Perfect location

This place rocks . It's 12 mins from the city 20 mins from the beach . There is a shopping center a block away . The hot tub was fun the back yard was awesome . The airstream is very well maintained. Will be back

We are right between downtown Charleston and Folly Beach, both great places to visit. Just a quick jaunt over the James Island connector bridge, and you are downtown Charleston (less than 10 minutes away). Go the other direction about 15 minutes, and you are on Folly Beach, one of the Southeast's most visited beaches. Our location is what helps us stand out from others....we are close to everything you'd want to do in Charleston.
