The Riverland Loft is a very private space with a private bath and separate entrance above the garage of my home. The space is 320 sq ft with a very comfortable KING size bed and a sitting area with TV. There is a small refrigerator with a small freezer and a microwave. There is not a full kitchen. Also a full Keurig Station. The bathroom has a nice shower. Ceramic tile floor and granite countertops. The house is only 5 years old so the space feels like new construction. The property is in the historic Riverland Terrace neighborhood. Less than 15 min by Uber to the historic Charleston Peninsula and no more than 20 min to Folly Beach. The property is gated and offers off street parking. Directly across the street is a small cozy park overlooking the intracoastal waterway and beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to neighborhood bars and restaurants . This property is also on Airbnb with almost 600 5 star reviews. Guests will love the historic neighborhood with grand oaks with two sides of the neighborhood bordering water. Great place to ride bikes. Boat landing 3 blocks away.
Beautiful property and neighborhood, gracious host and nice central location for easy trips to historic Charleston and Folly Beach. Very nice and clean with everything you need. My wife and I had a great trip. We will definitely return! Thanks Bobby!
Perfect location for an empty nester weekend. Lovely quiet neighborhood with pretty views close by. Had everything we needed. Listing is just as described.
Great host. Great location. Great for a couple to get away. Loved the Gated driveway. Love the neighborhood. Close to everything. Comfy bed. Will totally stay again. Oh...and thanks for the cookbook!
Relaxing visit to the low country. The perfect accommodations for two in a very peaceful neighborhood. Location was both close enough to the city and beach, but far enough away to enjoy a relaxing getaway. Bobby was a great host and provided everything we needed to feel at home.
Perfect, quiet place in a very beautiful residential neighborhood 10-minutes or less from downtown. Near some good places to eat. Great for a walk and you can cross the street and sit on a bench beside the Wappoo River. Bobby is a great host, super nice guy. Likes people!
Clean , very convenient 10-15 drive downtown with few interchanges. Very pretty location in St James Island area. Nice and quiet and pretty area. Also great location in proximity to Folly Beach ( 15min) grocery store and amenities with in 5 min. Private and very nice . Would recommend and definitely would stay again . Very economical.
Great place for 1 or 2 people. I needed to be in riverland terrace and could walk to my family. So quiet. Grounds and owners home is lovely. this is a private unit above the garage . Furnishings are a mix of old and new and the owner has not missed a beat. Lots of closet space and hangers. Bathroom was small but worked for me. shower was very good. I have stayed in most luxury properties for years in Charleston but since I need to be on James island this is very very nice and well appointed and you cannot beat the price. My only issue was I prefer a more firm bed and pillows but I was still very comfortable. I loved it. Will be my new place to stay when I travel to this area .
Our stay in the Riverland Terrace neighborhood was just perfect. The property was described well. We had a very comfortable king bed. A microwave and dorm -sized refrigerator, plus a Keurig stocked with coffees. The room includes a very comfortable sitting area with a loveseat and chairs.
The shower was great! Complete with a full-sized nice soap..
We hope to be back!
We headed south for a getaway, wanting to stay somewhere private. This place is adorable and in a cute neighborhood, and not too far of a drive from all of the attractions and restaurants. We loved our gift, too. Bobby also communicated well with me because our visit was right after Hurricane Debby.
Loved the complete experience and privacy. If you are looking for the quietest corner of James Island, this is it!! This should be called the Mary Poppins Suite because it is practically perfect in every way.
We loved our stay here! Central location and owner had amazing tips in the welcome book! The park is a must walk to see the sunset! This place is great for a couple wanting to visit Charleston!
We had a delightful experience from beginning to end. The loft was clean, comfortable bed, and even a coffee bar. It is in in a beautiful neighborhood, and convenient to everything.
This is a short Uber ride from downtown. Apartment is very cute and exactly how it is advertised.
The neighborhood is very nice and allows you to decompress after a long day of site seeing in town. It felt very safe and was a nice area for a nightly stroll. A bench located on the water just around the corner was a nice place to watch the sun set.
Bobby was an excellent host. This space is highly recommended.
Bobby's loft was just perfect! Upon arrival through the neighborhood with oak lined streets I happened to meet up with Bobby. He was tending to his lovely flowers which line the walkway to the loft. He was so personable and answered questions about area attractions and places to eat local foods. I stepped up to the super clean loft which was exactly as described on the website. I made myself a cup of coffee and had a little snack which Bobby provides. My eyes fell upon the cookbook Bobby has written and it not only has wonderful southern recipes but tells the story of Bobby's life as an 11th generation Charlestonian. I couldn't believe it was mine to keep for free!! There were up to date travel brochures to look through and a Charleston Magazine. I was weary from traveling so I took a quick shower and decided to have a little nap before exploring. The water pressure in the shower is awesome. I've stayed in many places with just a trickle of water. The king sized bed was so comfortable. When I awoke I stretched my legs by walking just a few steps to the park on the intercoastal waterway and sat on the bench to enjoy watching the boats and I even saw dolphins!! I ended up staying in the neighborhood to eat and had a fabulous handmade, personal sized pizza at a place named Crust. I got back in time to go back to the bench and watch an incredible sunset. The next day I went downtown to explore in the morning and to Folly Beach in the afternoon. Both areas are just 15 minutes or less from the quiet neighborhood. As a female traveling alone I have never felt safer. It was nice to park my car within the secure gates and not worry about it being parked on the street. Thank you Bobby for a 5 star accommodation, for the cookbook and magazine to take with me and for making me feel like I was talking to a long time friend with my questions. I can't wait to come back and stay in your loft again. Did I mention how clean it is? Other pluses were strong WiFi, control of a thermostat that is only for the loft, nice wooden hangers in the closet, plenty of clean towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. If you don't see a basic need, ask. Bobby is the best host!
