Alpine Cottage
A basecamp in the heart of Bozeman.
Note: The owner sometimes occupies the basement apartment which is accessed from the back door of the Cottage - there are no shared spaces and he is gone roughly 80% of the year (and will be gone until late July 2025 at least).
This cozy and quaint freshly remodeled 2 bedroom, 1 bath house sleeps 4 in one of Bozeman's oldest neighborhoods. It is a comfortable, quiet and relaxing home and perfect launchpad for your Montana stay. The spacious yard, picnic table, chairs, and grill allow you to relax under the Big Sky. A short 3 block walk takes you to the heart of historic downtown Main Street. A stroll past coffee shops, book stores, boutique clothing and art galleries are minutes away. And for the more adventurous, Alpine Cottage is centrally located for all outdoor recreation. Skiing at Bridger Bowl (25 min) or Big Sky (50 min), exploring Yellowstone National Park (1.5 hrs), hiking or running local trails (10 min), world class ice climbing, rock climbing, rafting and hiking are all within striking distance.
Alpine Cottage is managed by Bozeman Cottage Vacation Rentals, a small homegrown Bozeman company with over 20 years of experience.
The cottage has just been fully remodeled and updated so everything is new - beds, linens, kitchen, bathroom, etc. It has a beautiful shower, washer/dryer, and fully equipped with a modern kitchen, and a fully fenced yard. Open to the living room, our kitchen features butcherblock countertops, a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and stainless steel cookware. The back door leads to the private, fenced yard with picnic table and bbq grill, making for a perfect place to relax, eat meals, and hang out after a day exploring downtown or the mountains.
When youâre ready to venture out, the pubs, eateries, and shops of downtown Bozeman are just around the corner. Montana State University is a five minute bike or drive or thirty minute walk away. Bozeman is a wonderful town to see on two wheels and the fenced yard provides an out of site place to park bikes. Our house guests will love the convenience of our location, and will also be surprised at how quiet the neighborhood is, especially at night. Enjoy our peaceful and private backyard. If youâre looking for outdoor adventure and breathtaking scenery, Bridger Canyon is ten miles north offering beautiful hikes, famous wildflowers, and our local ski resort, Bridger Bowl.
As with all Bozeman Cottage vacation rentals, the Alpine Cottage is fully equipped with a drip style coffee maker, coffee grinder, a starter pack of fresh, local coffee, linens, pots/pans, cooking utensils, spices, dry goods (flour, sugar, etc), EO brand non-toxic body products, and comes with organic coffee & grinder. We also provide extensive local info on everything from where to buy real Montana meat & locally grown vegetables to great hiking trails, rafting links to restaurant coupons. We believe in local economies and know the best places!

I work in medicine but also own a permaculture educational farm just north of Bozeman.

I like to be able to walk out the door and sit by Bridger Creek, along the trails that border this subdivision. Plus I can ride my bike to town or to the local swimming beach. I don't golf but there is a great course right across the street.
I was able to buy this townhouse and finish it just how I have always wanted. It's built to last and equipped with top of the line appliances and furnishings. It has radiant floor heat which is the only way to go in Montana winters, plus it is well insulated and has high ceilings with great light.
