It is cozy yet airy, with a high, vaulted ceiling, a custom wood kitchen, a huge wrap around porch facing the lake. The master bedroom overlooks the lake and the gentle lapping of the waves will lull you to sleep. This is a truly exquisite property that offers a relaxed atmosphere while simultaneously providing an upscale, contemporary feel. Venture a bit further south and find your way to artsy Ithaca, NY, home of Cornell University and Ithaca College. Enjoy the Ithaca Farmers market, the exciting restaurants and explore the Ithaca Commons. There is SO much to do and see in the Finger Lakes, youâll be planning your next visit before you even leave.
This cozy lakeside retreat with many custom, craftsman-style touches, was the backdrop for our best memories this week. Whether we were inside or out, kayaking, reading, or dining lakeside, the peace and tranquility of this home was just what we needed. We canât wait to go back! Although we have been to the Finger Lakes Region many times, this is the place we will remember most.
This was probably the best Finger Lakes rental we experienced to date. Such a charming property with everything going for it! If you are considering staying here, do not hesitate. Everything went well. I will be back for sure!
Renting process went very smoothly. Hannah was very helpful. The cottage and lake setting were very pretty! It is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Very roomy. Some of the furniture could use a little refresh but a great stay overall.
Tens across the board. More stunning than in the photos. Bright, airy house on the cliff, with beautiful stairs/deck leading to boathouse and private piers right on the lake. Easy check in and out.
We were here 30 days ago, and found it so rewarding, we came back for another 3 days. Last month, it was warm enough to kayak, but an unexpected drop in temperature relegated us insides. We had plenty of connection time together, as well as time knitting (me) and reading. We will go again!
Breathtaking setting, perfect for beautiful sunrises, relaxing and slowing down! Hannah was terrific with communication, answering all our questions in a timely manner. Not only was the property all she described, but the experience of being there was truly magical. Special touches (fresh flowers, mints, etc.) truly made us feel welcomed. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary but very much look forward to returning with the kids. The outside lighting is spectacular. Everything we needed was on site.
This cottage is extraordinary. Beautifully crafted, the contemporary structure is surrounded by woodland and perched on dramatic cliffs above the rocky shore. Besides being very well-equipped, it's rich in delightful details. We fell in love with the place despite foul weather every day of our getaway. Something to know: Recommended parking is above the cottage with access via an uneven stone stairway. Picturesque but a bit tricky, with no handrail.
The house and property was even more stunning than the pictures. Waking up every morning to the sunset in your face overlooking the lake might be the best feature of the house! The property is quaint, charming, quiet and well maintained. The stairs down to the water make access so easy and the lighting with switches at either end is an amazing detail.
The lower driveway isn't ideal for use outside of arrival / departure so be cautious when turning around. The deck looked perfect for the warmer months but we enjoyed cozy temps by the gas fireplace.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you could conceive that you'd need to prepare a meal which isn't always the case at rentals, from a microplane to utensils for every need.
We hope to return in the warmer months as we're all in on lake life now :)
