We needed a temporary home for a few months while both returning from a long vacation and relocating to LA. Jennifer's place really fit the bill, was a great reprieve and home base for us. Great and communicative host and wonderful gardens.

Very nice place. Can use a blender mixer and was missing a can opener but the owner had her son furnish us with one she had at her own residence until she was able to furnish new ones with a permanent home at the apartment.

Just like home

Our stay at Jennifer’s was wonderful. We quickly felt at home. It is such a comfortable, charming, welcoming space. We loved the incredible garden, outdoor area. Jennifer was such an excellent host who provided anything we needed and was amiable and nice. The area can’t be beat. Beautiful neighborhood and close to everything. We will definitely stay here again.

Cute house

We enjoyed our stay at the house. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware. There are two small bedrooms and a living room, plus a lovely front yard full of plantings and a gazebo in the back. Dealing with the owner was easy. The house was perfect for my husband, me and my daughter. We like staying in LA's west side. It is an easy drive to the beach from the house and to restaurants and shopping. I'd stay there again!

Comfortable cottage in the rain ...

Jennifer’s place was comfortable and centrally located for us during our short family visit in LA. She was readily available to address and try to resolve any questions we had. Unfortunately (no fault of Jennifer’s), it rained most of the time we were there so we didn’t get to explore or use the yard and patio.

Sister Time

It was the perfect cozy home away from home for me and my sisters. This was especially important to me because I had been confined to my home in Vegas for the last 15 months due to my immune system. Contact was limited to phone calls or video chats. The cottage was quaint, very cleaning (trust me because of my health I checked every where) and had EVERYTHING we needed for my sisters and I to relax, lounge, and safely catch up in-person! The owner/host, Jennifer, was attentive, kind and a very gracious to us. This cottage is highly recommended and would definitely return. :)

Looking forward to another stay

This is a lovely home and Is a perfect location. In spite of all the COVID19 restrictions, I was able to enjoy many of the fabulous nearby restaurants many in walking distance (thanks Postmates and DoorDash). It was wonderful having Jennifer and Melody right there to assist with anything, offer suggestions and share stories.

Celebratory vacay for my daughter's graduation from UCLA

The cottage is sweet, cozy, clean, comfy, and well-stocked; situated in a lovely, well-maintained garden; in a quiet, safe, and convenient neighborhood. I enjoyed cooking in the perfect kitchen, and spent lots of time loafing on the comfy couches on the deck. I stayed a week, while various friends and family members each joined me for a few nights. At the end, I hosted a family brunch. EVERYONE wanted Jennifer's info so they could rent the cottage on their next trip!

Absolutely wonderful

I love this place! The beds were extremely comfortable. The garden and house are delightful on an easy to park street in a perfect location not far from the famous Venice Beach. Excellent restaurants are all around along with plenty of places to exercise it all off. The Santa Monica pier isn’t far away and neither is Malibu. Jennifer is attentive, kind, easy to communicate with and laidback. Her place is beautiful and I’ll definitely stay here again. Perfect!!

Lovely home, inside and out!

Charming home on quiet street. Comfortable inside with room to entertain small family group. Lovely flowering plants outside, with wonderful fruit trees that provided us with great citrus for breakfast! Parking was not a problem and location convenient. We would stay there again!

The house is in a great location and really cute. I was a little disappointed that we couldn’t use the back patio but I’ll blame that on the weather. The house was well stocked, great communication when we needed it but you need to work on getting rid of the ants in the kitchen area. All and all it was a good week

We hebben genoten van het huis, de veranda en de tuin. De fietsen hebben we iedere dag gebruikt om de omgeving te verkennen en om naar het strand te fietsen. We komen ooit terug!

A lovely place to be.

This sunny French cottage was the perfect place to be for 3 old friends to reconnect and relax and laugh. We especially enjoyed the back deck and gazebo as the weather was perfect for sitting outside. The cottage was nicely decorated and very clean. It was well stocked for cooking in and Melody, who lives in the back cottage was very helpful in getting us situated, answering questions, etc.

Fantastic cottage

We loved this cottage. Jennifer the owner was really kind and helpful. The cottage is very comfortable and the fruit trees are really fun. We had fresh grapefruits and lemons every day. The cat who lives in the bungalow behind the house visited everyday. The location is great, very quiet safe neighborhood. We will definitely be staying here again.

great cottage!

My parents stayed at Jennifer's house and really love the home, bikes and proximity to the beach. Because of the location they were able to ride to the beach every day and we took in some of Venice's hot spots. Jennifer was great to communicate and figure out logistics with.

Cozy and quaint

Charming cottage near Venice Beach

My husband, son and granddaughter and I sent three nights at the charming cottage near Venice Beach. The property is in a nice quiet neighborhood, conveniently located to shopping, restaurants and beaches. The gardens provided fresh ingredients for our supper, and my granddaughter enjoyed exploring the nooks and crannies around the property, as well as petting the resident outdoor cats. The kitchen is pleasant and has everything needed for a short stay. We especially loved lounging in the backyard gazebo, listening to music and surrounded by lush plantings. It was a wonderful place to read and have morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. The home is furnished with in an eclectic French country style and immaculately clean. We would definitely rebook if we were to return to the area. My 6 year old granddaughter has wonderful memories of our weekend together there.

Perfect country escape - large yards with furniture for outdoor activities, vegetable garden, quiet neighborhood with Neighborhood Watch, and completely furnished home with kitchen, bed and bath accessories. Good for families with games and books included.

Perfect LA home from home.

We spent an amazing 8 nights at Jennifer's cottage in Venice, just a 10 minute bike ride away from the coast. The house had everything you could need, and more! We particularly enjoyed the bikes for easy access to everywhere. The street and area are so pretty. Venice beach is fab, especially Mercedes Bar - def recommend trying for happy hour....very strong cocktails! The stay was wonderful and I will definitely be booking again.

Lovely gardens, sweet house, great location

I spent 2 1/2 weeks in this Venice house for a family wedding. The house is in a fabulous location, close to Lincoln and Venice Boulevards, near Santa Monica, Marina del Rey and the beach, but on a quiet side street. There is a lovely front garden where I tended to spend my outside time, and a bigger back yard. Both are enclosed which is important if you bring your dogs, as I did. The house itself is a pleasure, a very adequate two bedroom decorated in a somewhat quirky french provincial style. The kitchen is very well-equipped, easy to cook in, and the owner offers you the use of any of the vegetables growing in the yard. If you are looking for something slick and new, this is not the house for you, but if you are looking for something that feels like a real home, this might be it. I would be happy to return.
