Perfect stay for my family
This is a house on stilts with the river practically in the backyard. It was easy to find, we didnât have any issues with directions and the road is paved. You do not park on the gravel, as it is the neighbors property but thatâs not mentioned in the check-in. Because this is a âtree houseâ, you feel it move every time someone walks around or goes up and down the steps. This house is well stocked and everything was easy to find. The only problem we ran into was food storage so we had to buy foil pans and ziploc bags, granted we stayed for almost a week so we were doing cooking and leftovers! The river access was the best part. Any time we wanted to get in, we would. It was never packed with people and since it was so shallow we just crawled or walked the whole thing. We took paddle boards and some of the kids used them, but itâs not deep enough for boats. I need to leave an honest review because I wouldâve wanted to know these things. The windows arenât fully covered so light gets in from everywhere. The neighbors by the tv room turn a spotlight on at night and it is bright. I wound up getting a blanket and using it to cover one of the windows so that helped. When issues arose she was quick to help and respond and Iâm so thankful for that.Some guests donât respect other peopleâs stuff, so my husband and I spent a whole evening fixing things in the game room.And 2 washers and dryers is a bonus!The 4 stars for neighborhood is because someone was shooting a shotgun
