Cozy Cottage on the bay near Lake Verret. Great for all water sports and fishing
"My Sunshine on the Bay" is a beautifully restored cottage built between 1940 and 1950. The home was well maintained throughout the years which kept most of its original features intact. It's located in a quiet community on Pierre Part Bay just 2 minutes from Lake Verret. Great area for all water sports and the fishing is great also! Bring your bike and tour the rural town of Pierre Part or relax on the swing by the bay and watch the eagles, pelicans and other wildlife feeding nearby. For you fisherman, there is a boat launch and bait shop just steps away. There's plenty of room on the cottage grounds to park your boat or dock your boat next to the floating pier on our bay site area. You can also fish right off our floating pier on the bayside if you like. Looking forward to seeing you soon!!
This was one of the best vacations ever. The host are wonderful, you will not find anyone more friendly than Bernard and Gail. We will be going again for sure.
The house is beautiful and adorable. My brother and I both had a memory of our grandparent's house, with the natural wood finishes and custom built-ins. I was traveling with my elderly father, and we both were very comfortable, had plenty of room and felt safe. We were there visiting family but ended up making many new friends to include Gail and Bernard! If you visit, ask for a boat tour with Bernard's brother Timmy. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great and safe time. I fell in love with the lake and all its beauty, alligators and all! I recommend the lunch plate special at Landry's Seafood, a burger from Buddy's Drive in and anything at the deli from the Pierre Part Store! We were spoiled by our neighbors who made us a crawfish dinner! It was amazing and I made many wonderful memories with my dad and family. I highly recommend staying here and if you don't fall in love with it and the people then something is wrong with you!
Check in couldn't be easier, you just receive your code and let yourself in. Kitchen has everything you need and the sweet host keeps bottled waters inbthe fridge and treats on the table.
Missionaries from Haiti came to visit us. They were so excited to stay in such a cozy, comfortable, homey place. They want to come back but stay a bit longer!
