À propos de cet hébergement

Located just a short walk from Lake Erie and the historic GOTL Strip, the Dogwood is a fully renovated 1950's cottage with modern amenities and a vintage beach bungalow vibe. Pine ceilings highlighted by mid-century light fixtures welcome you into the living room area with a sleeper sofa and a 42" Smart TV to stream all your favorite apps.

A built-in dining banquet and retro breakfast bar transition you into to our fully equipped kitchen. Modern appliances with a vintage look, butcher block countertops, and a reproduction drain broad sink ties in with the 50's retro feel. All you could need for preparing a perfect meal is located our open style cabinetry.

From the kitchen exit into our 3-season enclosed porch. Enjoy a meal or sip your morning coffee while peering into to our partially fenced back yard with forest views where you could spot some wildlife! In the evenings you could gather round our outdoor fire pit or grill up your favorite meals on our Weber propane grill.

Our 2 bedrooms are both adorned with pine ceilings, mid-century lighting, and retro decor. Both rooms include a queen bed and roomy closets. A recently added sleeping loft can accommodate 4, it has its own hangout spot with a TV, DVD player and an Xbox with a few games. This space is perfect for kids and teens. Please note it has low ceilings and has a ladder access that may not be suitable for young children.

Our 1st of 2 full baths has a tub/shower combo with subway tile, marble accents and beautiful pebble flooring. The 2nd bath has a stand-up shower and also includes the commercial washer and dryer. Both are equipped with towels too!

Take in all GOTL has to offer with just a short walk to the Strip where you'll find quaint shops, boardwalk style food venders, restaurants, and nightlife! Also, within walking distance is Geneva Township Park (non-swimming beach access) there are playgrounds, pavilions, and grills for a perfect picnic overlooking spectacular Lake Erie. A quick 10-minute drive will take you to Breakwater Beach to enjoy a day soaking up some sun, building sandcastles, or splashing in the waves! Or Geneva Marina may be a point of interest for all who love fishing and boating, it's also a quick 10-minute drive! Also, we are about a 15-minute drive from Spire Institute!!

Weekend Stay

Overall we enjoyed staying at the property for a weekend. It was close to the strip so most places were walkable and was equipped with everything we needed. Unfortunately, we noticed ants throughout the cottage. That is why I rated only 3 stars. I did message the host but her reply stated the exterminator was due to come after our stay!

Great cottage

Very clean. Granddaughters loved the loft. Would recommend to others looking for a place to stay close to the strip. Has everything that was needed for the few days we stayed. The only thing we didn’t like was the smell of what we think was from cleaning. Very strong. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful cottage in great area!

This place is absolutely great. Every square inch was immaculately clean. The amenities were perfect, and the space is brilliantly utilized. We loved having that extra bathroom in with the laundry, which was super convenient. The propane grill out back was fantastic, and the front and back porches and yards are lovely settings in which to relax. The neighborhood is nice and close to the main strip. We could ride bikes all over the town, and it was a short drive to the beach, where we swam and put our kayaks in the lake. The fireworks on July 4th were awesome and close enough to see from the front yard or a short walk away to get even closer. We had a great time and would go there again in a heartbeat.

Excellent!!

Wonderful cottage. Had everything we needed. Comfortable for the 7 of us! Kitchen lots of space for 3 working adults. Great wrap around bench for table. Cozy place! Loved the hooks everywhere as we were at Spire for swim championships. Hope to rent this next yr again!!

Very clean and updated! This is a great cottage close to Geneva on the Lake. Nice and quiet for our quick overnight stay.

This location was everything. It was a quaint and quiet adorable street within walking distance to the all the Geneva essentials. It is incredible how the hosts made this seemingly small place so cozy for a larger group of people. Will absolutely stay here again next time I am in Geneva!

Perfect cottage

Amy’s place was awesome. I picked it because it had 2 full bathrooms and it fit my big family. We enjoyed everything the strip had to offer with a short walk but didn’t have to worry about the noise. Loved the screened porch and so did my granddaughter she ran around there every morning. Will definitely stay here again!!!

Cozy cottage

The property was exactly what was described. It was super clean and so pretty. Location was perfect. Unfortunately it rained the entire time we were there but thankfully we had a beautiful place to be inside. Will definitely consider staying there again!!

This is our second stay at this property. Amy is so responsive to any questions. The cottage is well appointed and in a great location. GOTL has biking, hiking, kayaking and entertainment.

One night stay option

We chose this property as it let us stay 1 night in Geneva. That was a bonus. The upstairs is perfect for kids. I don’t recommend for taller adults, we kept hitting our heads. Such a clean house and the back porch is so relaxing. Will stay again for sure. We had a group of adults from 25-40 but I will bring my family back for our next visit.
