Décoré avec goût, cet établissement propose trois chambres confortables et un loft avec un canapé-lit. Après un certain temps sur les pistes, vous et le gang voulez vous réchauffer près de la cheminée avant de préparer un repas dans la cuisine entièrement équipée. Détendez-vous dans le bain à remous privé ou profiter de l'emplacement tranquille avec un livre ou un film. WIFI gratuit est fourni pour chaque location. Le printemps, l’été et l’automne, les clients apprécieront le court de tennis et l’étang. Situé dans Woods End, Moose Lodge est juste sur le bord de la National Wildlife Refuge. Lovey mountain retreat

A most magnificent moose (lodge)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: An exceptional homelike experience! The door locks ALL need replacing! We spent 30 minutes trying to get into the house upon arrival! Nothing worked! Finally the maintenance man Mike came and his keys did not work either! This was not a great start but finally got a side door open and the rest of our stay was exceptional! Very comfortable, lovely amenities and so very cozy!After 20 years of renting at Timberline, Moose Lodge is our absolute favorite home away from home!

Beautifully Appointed Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is lovely. The management was amazingly responsive to the few issues that arose. It is well-appointed with all the comforts you would have in your own home. Quite spacious, it allows each person to feel as part of the group, while having one's own space. I want to let you know you will pay extra for the use of the hot tub, so make certain you check it daily, even if not using it, to ensure it works for the duration of your stay. It only heated up for one day of our stay, despite maintenance coming to fix it. Otherwise, our stay was absolutely perfect. If we are in West Virginia again, we will definitely stay here. Another note: be certain to have breakfast at the restaurant right next to the airfield. I forgot the name, but it is by far the best breakfast I have ever had...and I am a very picky eater.

Nice stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Three adults and a toddler stayed for five nights to ski Timberline and see the area. House had everything we needed for our stay. Loved the giant couch to lounge on and the hot tub after a long tiring day. The smart TV was nice to stream Netflix and Disney+. We enjoyed watching the deer pass through the backyard every day. Drive to Timberline is quick and accessible through the gate on the west side of the overflow parking area.House is a bit outdated and could use a good deep cleaning (lots of dust on the fans and fake flowers, dirt and debris under beds and dressers where the vacuum can't quite reach). Another towel bar and hand towel ring on the second floor would be super helpful for keeping towels dry and off the floor/counter. Also, why are there no curtains/blinds in the one bedroom? Very annoying to not have privacy for changing as well as no way to keep the room dark when the sun comes up.

Besides the great location (I prefer "down the mountain" rather than "up the mountain), I love the big couch. The beds are comfortable too. Aside from a bit of a mix-up with the keys at check-in, everything was perfect.

A great and convenient vacation spot

We have stayed in this neighborhood at a house with similar layout and the Moose Lodge did not disappoint. We loved the large couch that had plenty of room for a six adults to lounge on comfortably. And of course, we loved the hot tub and easy access to all the fun available in the area. It was easier to walk to the Timberline slopes versus driving! The Blackwater Sled run is a must. The property managers are very easy to work with and responsive.

The house is a stones throw from Timberline which was so convenient skiing with young kids on different schedules. The house was clean and very well appointed. We did have some issue with internet service going in and out but that was a problem in the whole area and not specific to Moose Lodge. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was great, seriously can’t wait to return next year.

Terrific spot!

Great place for our family if 4 (could comfortably fit another kiddo.). 2 minute drive to ski, or lovely to just walk around or enjoy the fire. All the basics provided. Massive sectional is perfect for movie night!

A Peaceful Escape from Covid

We weren't quite sure what the area would be like, but we found a quiet off-season resort community. (we visited early November 2020) My adult daughter and son-in-law stayed with us. We had plenty of space, and especially enjoyed the deck and hottub. We had lots of room to cook and eat. We took nice walks from the cabin. There were plenty of nature activities to do in the area, too. The main thing I would have wanted at this place is a lifter for the hottub cover, as it was a bit hard to get on and off without one, and we had to sweep away a lot of leaves that had piled up on the deck between the house and the hottub, in the space where the cover seemed like it should go. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was easy to cook in. The area was nice. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
