We stayed here for a Christmas weekend with our family and grandparents, and I rarely leave reviewsâbut this experience demands one. The home itself is just okay and needs major updating, but the real problem is the management companyâs total lack of care.They advertise that AWD/4WD is enough, but this property should NOT be rented in inclement weather at all. All of our 4WD vehicles struggled; one got stuck immediately and had to be towed. The driveway, hills, and switchbacks are dangerous and completely misrepresented.We arrived to a non-working door code, a refrigerator that never got cold, and no response from management despite multiple calls. They kept âmaking ticketsâ but never followed up or sent help.Both vehicles got stuck again the next evening, forcing our very YOUNG kids and grandparents (over 70) to walk uphill in snow and freezing temps. Trying to get in touch with them again and still no call back from management.Ironically, the only time they contacted us was to make sure weâd be out by 10am for a showingâbecause the home is for sale. Unreal.House issues included: broken hot tub (told 2 hours before arrival), musty and cold downstairs, mold in the bathroom, poor heating, malfunctioning TVs, spiders, and drafty windows.Itâs clear the owner has stopped maintaining this home, and the management company doesnât care. I will never rent from Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals again and wouldnât recommend this home to anyone.
