Cette grande et belle maison de plage de Dauphin Island dispose d'une plage privĂ©e en front de mer et de superbes vues sur le golfe du Mexique, qui se trouve littĂ©ralement de l'autre cïżœïżœtĂ© de la rue! Cette baie vitrïżœïżœe 3 chambres (plus 1 chambre avec lits superposĂ©s du maïżœïżœtre), 3. 5 salles de bain maison dispose d'un grand, vĂ©randa filtrĂ©e de 800 pieds carrïżœïżœs qui couvre toute la longueur de la maison!
La dĂ©tente a 1 lit king, 2 lits queen et un lit superposĂ©. Cette maison dispose Ă©galement d'une chambre sĂ©parïżœïżœïżœïżœe avec lits superposĂ©s pouvant accueillir 2 personnes de la chambre des maĂźtres au premier niveau pour les plus petits. Le canapïżœïżœïżœïżœ-lit est situĂ© dans un salon prĂšs de la cuisine.
Il y a une terrasse sous la maison avec des balançoires pour se dĂ©tendre Ă  l'ombre et profiter de la vue sur la baie. Overall, we had a great stay! The house had some quirks because of its old age. We did find a dirty band aid and used stick on finger nail was not cleaned from the guests before us. The location was fantastic, the bay/gulf views were phenomenal, and the house was the perfect size for all 10 of us!

Great sunsets

We loved staying here! We enjoyed watching the dolphins in the bay and watching people fish everyday. We saw lots of herons, pelicans, and seagulls flying around. We had an issue with the WiFi and it was fixed really fast. Can’t wait to come back!

Relaxation

Beautiful and spacious older home that has weathered many storms. In need of some serious maintenance with floors and stairways. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfy and location was perfect. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would come back anytime!

Excellent!!!!

This house was amazing, worth every penny! Perfect location to the bay side for fishing and to the gulf!! Our family enjoyed every minute. If you like quiet, relaxing, no crowds vacation this is it!! You will love it!

The location is fantastic. It's very private, which is what we were seeking,. This house has a very well stocked kitchen. Had everything we needed for cooking our own meals and more. We all had a great time.

House is in a great location. Nice access to the beach. The large back porch is a nice place to gather. The house is in need of some updates and maintenance. Overall it was pretty clean, we did have an issue at check in and they sent the cleaning lady out right away. The staff responded to needs promptly.

Beautiful Landscape

When we arrived at check-in time the cleaning crew was on their way out. The Lady stated that they clean the house each week and the last people people that stayed there left it very messy and that they did the best they could. The bed linens, and.one of the bathrooms could have way cleaner. There are several small items around the house that need to be fixed and one roof leak that we were told about from the cleaning crew, but it did not leak while we were there and we did have some rain. We loved how wide open the kitchen and living room is. The placement of this property is fantastic. You have your own private beach out the back door to the bay side and a very short walk across the street to the gulf side. Dauphin island is some where I would definitely visit again.

Worse than pictures show

So the ratings are pretty bad to start with but this property is even worse. There is storm damage to what I guess was the Pier. The “screened” in porch has so many tears and holes it’s a joke. There was black mold in the master shower. The windows are loose and it sounded like they were going to blow out. There were loose staples in a recliner in the living room that stabbed me in the leg. It’s a joke - way over priced for the falling down place.

Your paying for location not property

Ok so I am not one to complain and we did the best to make the best of this trip, but I want to be honest, so people are aware. I'm not like a Karen that just hates life I put up with a lot. The stairs going in and out of the house back and front I felt like I was going to fall through they were so rotted. The house had major foundation issues so much so I'm sure if an inspector went in they would condemn it. cracks all over the walls they covered like a band aid. Black Mold above the showers and ac vents. One room on the bottom floors window was cracked the fix was some brown tape. Leaky toilets sinks and showers. celling falling down and the floors OMG I felt like if i stepped wrong they would fall in and if you went under the house, it looked like they were falling down because you can see pieces of the under house falling to the ground. one of the ac vents dripped all night and it was over my friends bed. the screened in porch the screen is all loose. It looked like it had seen one too many hurricanes and no one fixed the issues. I took pictures but i guess you can't put them on here unfortunately. what a waste of money :(

Pros and Cons

Having stayed on Dauphin Island for over 6 years, I feel I have a good "litmus" test for what you can expect when renting a beach home. I will share with you the pros and cons of our week-long stay at Relaxation. In our party were middle-age adults, elderly parents, and teenage kids. PROS - location (so close to the West End where you can walk for a long time and see no houses) - Views (you have a beautiful view of the bay and unobstructed view of Gulf, which is unusual) - Plenty of space to spread out and share family meals. Large front deck and large back deck. - great washer and drier that hold big loads - I was in contact with the rental company a few times and each time someone answered my phone call CONS - cleanliness of the home was a big issue. We found hair stuck to shower walls and in the corners of the home. Pieces of dog food here and there on both floors. It rained on the fourth day and with the humidity the carpets smelled strongly of pet urine (they were also very visibly stained). Hard surface floors had not been vacuumed or cleaned well. No matching sheets on beds, two were missing a top sheet, and upon check out we were told NOT to wash the comforters (which were the only blankets provided). I realize that I could have called the rental company and asked them to come out and clean the home, however, we had driven 11 hours and unloaded our cars and wanted to start our vacation. Additionally, each review on VRBO mentioned that cleanliness was an issue, so I don't think it's any surprise to the rental company (and I suppose not to me, either). - the home is in great disrepair. Carpets are stained and smell strongly of pet urine. Downstairs bathroom smells of urine even though we cleaned it. Crumbling ceilings, patchy paint, dripping faucets. The screened-in porch is not screened-in because upon arrival 4 large panels were ripped. The kitchen utensils and dishes were mismatched, poorly organized, and many rusted or not safe to use. The banister is quite wobbly. One of the upstairs beds is billed as a queen and I am certain it was a double. Many of the windows were open at checkin & when we tried to close them it was impossible because they were stuck. Overall, this stay was nice only because we were together as a family and could be outdoors in the beautiful weather. The home was a great disappointment.

DIRTY

Too much money for what you get .Has not been maintained. Blinds-extremely dirty. Electric outlets in bath not GFI. Outlet in master loose. Dishwasher not working properly-(washed dishes by hand)-kitchen sink backed up-deck under house useless-wallpaper coming off everywhere-towels car wash rejects-walls cracked-driveway needs a lot of help and marking-exhaust fan light in bath flickers(not a good feeling when in the shower)-pantry & bath doors drag-ceilings have water stains. I could go on. A/C good. Easy to find.. Good refrigerator.

relaxation

The area is perfect for the family , the Bay on the back side of the house , the Gulf on the front side with it's fun waves. The area is wonderful also as it isn't commercialized at all. I love the peace and quiet. Although our stay had some bumps, to me the house could have been cleaner than what it was and there was a house being built right next to it with some people with very disgusting words coming from their mouths, wich wasn't the fault of the vrbo company. All in all we made beautiful, fun memories with my kids and my grands. I love the quiet , private of the area . The restaurants we went to all of them had terrific food!!! I would highly reccomend this area. Shawn

Great space! Not at all clean.

Pros: A wonderful time was had by my family. Plenty of room for everyone. A wonderful screened porch in the back for bug free fun. Under the house was great too with a wonderful breeze to cool you off. And a very short (but VERY hot on the feet!) walk to the water. Cons: Too much time was spent on cleaning. Lots of mold in various parts of the house. Some sheets not cleaned. Microwave intermittently worked. Garbage disposal froze up for a while but decided to start working again. Overall just not really well maintained.

House should be named Broken Promises

Location is absolutely 5 Star. The house is in dyer need of some maintenance and care. Blinds falling down and broken More than half in the house! . Can't be opened or closed. Unstable beds in 2 rooms. Had to fix the master bedroom bed before we could even sleep in it. Bannisters on stairs move and sway more than 2" either direction. We had small children with us and wouldn't even let them hold the bannister to walk down the stairs. Busted door knobs that lock you inside bedrooms. Moldy shower curtains. Management came over twice to "address" problems. With promises of repairs yet no one ever followed through with anything. Had no privacy to change clothes blind wouldn't shut!! The "Master Bedroom" does Not have a closet. Doesn't even have its own bathroom. Upon arrival of the home. It was filthy. There were used towels in the floor. Items under the couch where it had not been cleaned proper. Thick dirt on baseboards and outlet covers. I will not be using this property company for any of my vacation needs ever again. The fact that 3 people had to come to the house in 4 days and not a single one followed through. They left replacement shower curtains on the front deck. But I could not use the curtains because they had been chewed by rats and had holes in them. Wish I could give a better review but don't expect this place to look like the pictures. We will be going back to the island again. But will have nothing to do with Nancy or Dauphin Island V R company.

Beautiful Spot

Almost at the end of the road with empty lots either side. Easy walk to private beach on the bay side (great for young children). Also easy access to Gulf side. House is clean and plenty for 12 people. Highly recommended if you want peace and quiet with a safe place for kids.
