Experience a true off grid cabin, (no electricity) with full size bed, wood stove, camp stove, with coffee, and tea pots, table and chairs, solar lights, and lanterns. Relax, sitting on the porch, while enjoying the peaceful view of the pond. Also has a bathroom with composting toilet, and rain barrel water system, with sink. Separate off grid style shower room, with supplies. You have the option to have the (friendly) goats stay with you, in the cabin yard, or just visit them in the separate goat area. Stocked pond for fishing. Fire pit outside your door. Walking trails, and chickens also on the property. Gather your fresh eggs for breakfast, if desired. Property is completely fenced, and you will have a gate code to enter and exit. You will also have your own, covered parking space. Dollar store, and gas station across the street for ice, or anything you might need. Only three miles to Wal-Mart, and other shopping. Close to everything, but with the feel of privacy, and seclusion. Also, if you are interested in gem mining, Diamond Hill Mine in Abbeville is near by.
Peace and quiet! James was so thoughtful and nice. The cabin is Off-grid but doesn't feel like it's lacking anything. Well thought out property with everything you need included.Solar lighting in all the spaces as well as an included battery pack for phone charging etc. Was a perfect stay for going to Diamond Hill mine.
Jim and his wife really thought of everything! If youâre looking to experience off grid living, this is your cabin! It was homey, spacious, quiet, and relaxing. The goats were well behaved and very loving. We were able to walk on some trails, fish in the pond, hang out in the cabin, and explore the town. There is food and shopping close by for groceries OR pick your eggs right out of the chicken coop! The cabin had everything you would need for a stay away from home: coffee, tea, sugar, cream, toiletries, wet wipes, lots of water, firewood, cards, games. No internet, TVs, or electricity to get in the way of a great experience! We didnât miss any of it. There is a separate shower, separate double privy (composting toilet) which also serves as a very spacious changing room. The bed was so very comfortable and we stayed warm under all the handmade quilts. There is room for eating inside or outside, a potbelly cook stove, and a 2 burner Coleman if you arenât keen on cooking with wood. Overall our stay was a 100 out of 10: amazing!! We will definitely stay again and recommend it to the world!!
Or stay here was unbelievable the host was very communicative very giving and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable.
This is an amazing off-grid cabin experience.
And while it's off great it's not too far out of the way so it's convenient to get to the various things in this area.
I would give this 100 out of 100 Stars
Best damn cabin stay we've had ever.
