We had a family trip. This house is beautiful in a great location. There was a lot of games and extras to make your stay fun! We will definitely stay again.
Very nice home with access to plenty of lake fun. A dock on deep water that the kids had a blast jumping off of all week. There's a swing with an overhead fan that made those hot summer days cooler. Dock your own boat or get a rental nearby. Pull a tube or jet ski then stop at one of the several lake side restaurants for a meal. The home is clean with a beautiful view of the lake from inside through the large windows or outside on the deck in comfortable chairs. The home layout is perfect for each family to have their own space in three separate levels with full baths on all. The main level has lots of room for all to relax in front of the TV or eating dinner and playing games on the large and beautiful dining table. There are a lot of steps down to the lake so the weak and elderly may struggle with that.
We had a great stay at this home before the Masters. It was a great quiet location. The house was equipped with everything we needed. There are many games and activities at this property.
This was an excellent property for a family vacation. Plenty of room and nice amenities for children. We would definitely seek out this property again on a return trip to Greenwood.
Exceeded expectations!Words don't do justice to the experience we enjoyed at "Water's Edge" - this lakehouse is AWESOME! The house is BIG (3 levels means lots of space for extended families). There is so much to do onsite (the dock, kayaks, basketball, ping pong, relaxing, grilling, TONS of board games and yard games too). And the location is great because it's on the same side as Greenwood proper (which means easy access to Publix, Chickfila, Outback, The Mall, and more). We enjoyed the dock most of all - just relaxing on the porch swing or chairs on the dock and floating in the water listening to some music was exactly what we were looking for. We also cooked family dinners at night, baked cookies, had Ping Pong Championships, caught a couple fish, and even had a 3-generation Monopoly game which was a blast. Watching a scary movie together was exciting. Outside the home we rented a boat from Skippers, hiked the Lake Greenwood State Park and isited the 96 Historical Site. In short, our family vacation was FANTASTIC and Water's Edge was a big reason why. The hosts Randy and Cathy were very responsive and friendly and I was amazed at how well stocked the property was - literally every thing we could have needed for our stay was already provided for us. Clearly Randy and Cathy care about the experience of their guests and their love of Waters Edge is evident. The keepsake coffee mug was an unexpected surprise! We look forward to staying at Water's Edge again! Thanks :)
Our stay for Thanksgiving was wonderful. Plenty of room for the family without stepping all over one another, and lots to keep everyone entertained. Views from the deck and boathouse were exceptional and relaxing. Even with November temps, we enjoyed being outside.
Great property for multiple families or grown children with their own. Lots of activities and games at the house even though it was winter, and a large common area and large dining table. Enjoyed some of the outdoors and would be an amazing place in the summer.
Beds were absolutely not comfortable. This is subjective, of course as everyone has a different take on what a "comfortable bed" is. A king bed in the master would have been nice, but we knew it was a queen going in. This is just a suggestion.Pots and pans were heavily used and old, but worked for our purpose. Overall, fairly well stocked with everything else we needed. Unfortunately, no one on the trip slept well.
I booked this property for a family wedding nearby. The house was just what was needed and exactly as described. Owner was very responsive and helpful. We did not want to leave.
The house was just as advertised. Plenty of room and activities. Great fishing off the dock and plenty of space to have separation if you need some quiet time. Kitchen well equipped and plenty of extras. Highly recommended and we will return. Easy drive to Lander University to visit students and sports.
Time away with daughters and grandkids.
We definitely stayed busy. The grandkids loved that the water was deep enough not to hit the bottom. They practiced diving and had other competitions!
The house plenty of
Space for everyone to spread out and do what
They wanted to do.

Randy is a retired school teacher. He loves to golf and fish. Outdoor activities are why he gets up in the morning. Cathy is a massage therapist and loves anything to do with water. She is quickly becoming an avid painter and takes advantage of the beautiful lake views to work on her newest masterpiece.
We bought this property because of its deep water to get year round access to beautiful Lake Greenwood. My wife and I love to go out in the morning for a cruise on our 12 foot Old Town Loon Kayaks. These kayaks sport one of the most comfortable kayak seats on the market. This proves to be a great way to clear our heads. We installed a Kayarm on the dock to make it easier to get in and out of the Kayaks. This house also grabbed our interest because of its ability to house multiple families with a bedroom, bathroom and 2nd kitchen in the lower level. The property is about a mile to the nearest grocery store and gas station and only 15 minutes to downtown Greenwood.
